Cartoons or Animes? Which would you choose?

I prefer anime. The subject matter for many anime is much more dramatic than in cartoons.

Hmm it depend on the film I like both. But if I had to choose I think I will choose anime But it doesnt mean I hate cartoon. ^^ I like some of them esp Disney production

Well strictly speaking, no matter what anyone else says, anime is a form of cartoon. The name is afterall short for animation. It's a different style, and targetted at an older (on occasion *much* older) age category, but it's still a cartoon. That being said I prefer anime, they're serious (some of them anyway) and they have great stories. But in my opinion it's still a cartoon :p just a different style.

Anime has more "history".. cartoons are just for laughs.. anime make us to interact with the events.. it's not in all... but in the majority.

animes of course.....because the drawings are good..and their stories...but some cartoons are good too like pokemon although it has an anime version

i agree. i will also choose anime. i don't know. because anime's drawings are much realistic. the storylines are good, and it's increasing nowadays.

I would pick anime because I hardly watch any thing else bisides anime plus I like the way that the pictures always look so life like they look like they could be real people

I watch both cartoons and animes but if I had to choose anyone I would certainly select Anime for following reasons: 1. Cartoons are more kiddish, while animes can be kiddish as well as for grown ups. 2. Animes that I have watched have usually been with good and meaningful contents. As you mentioned they have great storylines!! Thus I would certainly like to go for animes.

I'll choose Anime...Why? because i really like their stories and besides i like their characters.. They are so cute!!!
