the new update that jagex have added today (tuesday, 24th april 2007) seems to be a very good idea.
jagex aren't only blocking your password with aersicks(*) but also the whole sentance that is included with it so as to not give any clues to what your password might be.
for so long people have wandered around runescape shouting "jagex now blocks your pass, look *******"
the dead give away for me was always that you could never say "password" in game, it always had to be pass... and so i have never fallen for this, but i have met those that did, and they certainly were not happy at having their stuff stolen by the scammer.
so now in game if you are discussing pass words and your pass word is gerbil (example only, no my password is not gerbil) and you decide to say to someone, i have a pet gerbil the whole sentance is blocked :D
about time too if you ask me lol.

I think this is a good update for noobs, but won't benefit many above say lvl 70. Besides the obvious not letting you type in your password, this update is good because people who have dumb passwords like gerbal may now need to change it to something else because it will get annoying not being able to say gerbal in game. This will lead to many noobs having more secure passwords in my opinion.
