Have you ever break a promise?!!

No i havnt broken any promise. If i'm not sure about whether i am able to or not able to maintain the promise then o simply dont promise anything and let me tell you i have promised very few things in my life. Promising and breaking i just hate that...it doesnt makes any sense in real terms...if u wanna break then why promise..isnt it right?

I too, never make promises that I can't keep. And I don't like the idea of breaking promises. But, sometimes one has to do it because it seem the right thing to do. For example, one of my friends had deceived another friend and he had asked me not to tell her. I said, alright but he should tell her. I gave him a period of 7 months and when I saw he wasn't doing it, I had to tell her.

i guess we have some similarity in this.I don't make promises if i think i can't full fill it.I hate it when someone break promises,so i won't do the same.However,there are times when thing can goes wrong and out of control,promises are hard to keep at that moment.Is this an excuses?hmm..i can't be sure .I try my best all the time to keep my promises however i did break it thou-A promise to myself.Regret.

I have probably broken a promise over the years. I wouldn't promise something if I knew I couldn't keep the promise. However, things sometimes happen and promises get broken or partially broken. I can't recall anything specific. But I am not by any means perfect and I make my share of mistakes.

I don't remember any promise that I have broken.That means even if I broke one,that wouldn't have had serious implications.I would feel miserable if I fail someone after making a promise.I make less promises and I try to be as sure as I can to keep them.But I still think I didn't break a promise I made.I have to ask people who hate me or love me too much.

I believe many of us did , because we are not perfect and even if we do our best in some situations we still failed. I had to break some promises that i still regret , but i was forced to break them otherwise people I care would suffer. One time a broke a promise because of my university . I had to go to one of my friends birthday party but I just couldn't, we had an important exam at my university. I felt so bad that day I was lucky my friend understood me.

I don't think I've ever broken a promise. If i make a promise to someone than I'm not going to break it, I'm just not that kind of person. I hate when people say you can trust them but they have no sense of loyalty.

I dont usually promise something but instead tell them i'll try my best to do the job at hand.I dont like to make a promise and then disappoint someone cos i know how it feels to be on the receiving end of a broken promise

I have broken promises before which is why I rather not make promises unless I'm not sure that I'll follow thru with them.

I did a lot of times. But I always manage to bend it. I just tell the one I gave my promise to that it's just delayed but I'll surely keep it and I always make sure to make it up afterwards. For me promises won't be broken but just be delayed. It's never too late to keep it.

I have broken a few promises to be totally honest with you. I hate to break a promise...especially those made to my children. I don't like to disappoint them. I try to avoid making promises that I am not sure I will be able to keep. I tell someone that I will try my best, but I can't promise it.

Promises are to be kept. I seldom give promises to anybody for fear of executing them promptly. "'Let me try " is the usual gesture I make to anyone who desires a promise of commitment from me.

I have same opinion as u. I never break promise in my life.if I promise somebody then I always try to keep. I check first that I can fulfill that promise or not. I promise something that I can maintain. I think everyone shoul keep their promises that they have made to other.

I do promise and will break them. Most of the times i promise things cause i don't want to get deeper into any thing. I want to avoid things so i just will say i will make it for sure PROMISE. but i know i may not be able to make that in time. Most of the times when i promise to my family members i will do that and i will keep up my promise, unless it is unavoidable.

from my full presence on this world,i did break promises from the past. but i try to explain my part ahead of time if i can't fulfill my obligations. i ask for apologies and make people understand my reasons. if i can't come to meeting friends as promised, i will atleast contact them ahead of time that i can't make it. better to inform people than make them wait. though it sometimes hurt and will surely frustrate others, atleast the best i can do is let them know in advance and make them feel i am so sorry for not putting up to my promises. happy myLotting!

Yes, sadly, I have had to break a promise. But it is exactly as your said. It is more of a protection reason why I have broken promises. And even though I feel horrible about it...it really is something that I could not avoid. However, there are also promises broken that you can not control either. Like when I told my son he would be fine when he was upset when I left him at the sitter's. He ended up not being fine and the sitter injured him to the point of hospitalization for just over two weeks and a body cast for 2 months. He was not able to talk due to a hearing problem...so maybe he didn't hear me promise him that he would be fine. Or then when he was in the hospital and we promised not to leave his side the entire time....Child Protective Services kicked us out because they wanted to be sure that we would sign some papers. It was stupid to make him cry like that! I would have signed them if they would have just asked!!! But those were promises broken that were beyond my control. And either way, promises broken make you really feel like crap!

Sometimes I had to be pushed to promise someone something that I know would be difficult to fulfill, because of the need. When a person is desperate, I shall be forced to promise something, and then I would eventually break it. Haha. Not all the time, though. What's important is that I tried to fulfill my promise as much as possible. Because of this attitude of mine (breaking promises), I would now forewarn others that I might break the promise, so that they won't hang on to it. Happy myLotting!

hello,augustta, how are you? I think it is around 10 pm in Warsaw?? I do the same with you, if someone ask me to promise them something, I will consider it in detail whether I can guarantee that, if not,I will not make a promise, i do not want to breal the promise in case i cannot do it, i just do not want to make someone disappointed. It may be better to reject promising in the first place rather than breaking the promise at the end, that is why i have never break a promise because I will not promise people easily.
