After recently losing my sister to kidnet disease this story touched my heart.
Phillip Palmer found out his friend had a rare form of kidney disease and
offered his kidney calling it an adventure with his friend..
It brought a tear to my eye.
Do you think you would give an organ to someone else?
I had offered but because of the illness my sisters
(I have 2 more living with kidney disease)
even if I gave them one of mine it would quickly fill with cysts also
and with the illness the cysts form in other organs also chocking the life out of
healthy organs so the doctors say that a transplant will only weeken the body
further..

Oh honey - that must really have struck a chord with you! I think it is a wonderful thing for anyone to do! If someone needed a kidney from me I would certainly be quick to agree! We tend to forget about living donations - I am a registered organ donor and if anything happens to me I would like them to use anything they could to help someone else! My admiration for everyone who has donated body parts is huge and thank you for the reminder about living donations! xx

I think it is wonderful when people have the charity in their heart to donate their organs to others. Mine are not all the functioning well anymore so I would be afraid to lose them. My son has kidney problems, too.

That is a great thing he is doing for his friend. I would definetly donate a body part for my family or close friends. I also think I could donate bone marrow to a stranger. I plan on donating my organs when I pass away.
