Do you use a gas grill or a charcoal grill to cook out?

Nothing like a charcoal BBQ. I love the smell and taste of it. All you people that have a yard and are able to have a BBQ are very lucky. If I want a BBQ I need to go to the roof and toss a few burgers around with the neighborhood bums. (wink)

Oh my gosh this one too
this one was here too I swear lol
Once even, not even twice
Anyway. ;)
We use, or rather Jason uses, a charcoal grill. He claims that is the only way to BBQ. Though I think if we get a new one soon he might switch just because its better overall, he'll still says that charcoal is the best tasting though. hehe

We have a charcoal grill and a gas (propane) grill. We use both—Just depends on how much time we have and how we want the food to taste. We even cook over a campfire on occasion. I like my corn on the cob this way- Soak it for hours then throw it in the campfire- turning it often. YUMMY!
Usually on weeknights we use the gas grill. It’s much quicker. I love grilling out- I really don’t notice the difference in taste from the charcoal to gas grill on most items. Nothing beats a BIG juicy steak or hamburger on the grill.
I’ve got to stop reading these food questions- I’m starving!

I Use propane - it is convenient...a few minutes and we are ready to cook...charcoal is much more time intensive...but it really does taste better. But either way is better then cooking in the house

I prefer to use a charcoal grill. I really can taste the differance in the food. I think that food cooked on a gas grill has the taste of the gas.

I'm one that goes for the charcoal. To me the flavor is much better even if you add some chips to a gas grill. We have had both and now I know for sure that I do like the charcoal grill the best. Sure the gas grill is more convenient, but if you want the best flavor, go with the charcoal.

We use a charcoal grill. Bruce will not barbeque any other way. I love the speed and the heat control of the gas grill. We use one at mom's. But at home we use only the charcoal grill. Bruce does a great chicken on the grill. All smokey and crispy and such flavor. Guess what I am doing tomorrow, now? Thanks! LOL

Charcoal tastes about a skillion times better then gas, but I must admit, laziness and lack of time prevails and I use a gas grill. They were better back in the old days when you had lava rocks. I used to replace mine in stages, it seems like the newer they were the more charcoal like flavor there was.
Still the gas grill is way better then cooking inside on the stove.

We use a charcoal grill. We have never had a gas grill so I wouldn't know what's the difference between the two.

Charcoal grills are safer than gas. My mom bought a gas grill once and it literally blew up and almost caught my mom on fire. There was fire everywhere cause of the gas sprewing out and she couldn't get to the tank to turn it off. After that, it was charcoal grills. Hubby and I both prefer the charcoal anyways and even cook over an open campfire out in the back yard at times.
