What happens to Gaara now?

After Gaaras defeat from the Deidara, and taking One tailed Shukaku from his body, what would become of him now? Is this the end for him? Will he be able to regain his power?

every shinobi have their own power or chakra... as for gaara, although shukaku has taken away from him he still has his own power.. all this time he was fighting using his own chakra... only when his chakra finish then shukaku power will take over his body... about the sand infused with his chakra i think it will still be with him as the ultimate defense

So his ultimate defense is not using shukakus power? It seems though that Gaara is strong only because of shukaku.

I'm not sure... Because the shukaku was supposed to be the source of his sand, thats why his father the kasekage, bounded the spirit of the shukaku to his body at birth

well, i'm asuming his popularity as Kazakage has grown even stronger, but i'm not sure about his powers over the sand. people are saying he still has the power, but not as strong as it was before. either way, i'm sure he's still going to be a stong kazakage because of how he cares for his village.

Although Gaara will no longer posses the Shukaku I think he would only get stronger because of the fact that he will be able to sleep and that he won't be a "monster" anymore. Anyway, he isn't using his Shukaku

I say he will. Wont be able to pull out as much strenth like with the giant amounts of sand, but the gourd will stay with him. Now he can sleep though... wonder how he'll deal with that.
