Hello Titaniumsoul,
If you mean a universal remote to contol anything, then my first order of business would to black out the 24x7 television news media. Poof ... gone, just like that. No more non-stop news tv.
We could still get the news from the internet, local news broadcasts, newspapers, etc... but the business of tv news as entertainment would cease to exist. These types of news shows have so muddled the line between hard journalism and opinion commentary that they've outlived their usefulness.

hello ladyluna,
The universal remote control that is mentioned here means a remote control that is able to control everything under the sun. For me, if I have this remote control, I will want to stop everything including the rising and setting of the sun or the spinning of the globe.

Ohhhh .... THE UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL.
Well, in that case ... 24x7x365 entertainment news might be dropped to 6th or 7th on my list (chuckle, chuckle).
Perhaps the first order of business would be to wipe out narcisistic pathology from human consciousness.
Second would be to turn up the volume on the hum of interconnectedness between all life. If we were more aware of how connected we are to everything, I believe the actions we take in life would be far more conscious, and less damaging.
Rather than simply erasing mankind's mistakes, I would focus on creating an environment where we would benefit from finding our own remedies for those mistakes. Taking away one's opportunity to learn and grow, as a result of our mistakes, is actually only a short term remedy, as we'd find ourselves in similar predicaments down the road.
So, I guess the primary order of business would be to imprint THE blueprint for TRUE harmony into human consciousness. Then, allow mankind to overcome the plethora of obstacles to achieve that harmony. Meaning, that I see the biggest obstacle to harmony being the absence of an absolute blueprint on how to get there, and why we should make harmony our primary objective.

= what do you mean by universal remote?
as in, electrical stuff only or the ability to control anything under the sun?
if its the 2nd, i would wanna switch the environment to a less polluted place to be in!!!
but on a more personal account, it would help if it can switch weather to the right one at ease...
but if its the 1st one, i just wish i cld fast forward the bus im in.. =
