having a partner at 30...big or little chance?

Is there very little chance for a woman aged 30 and above to meet her future partner in life? I'm beginning to think that once a woman reaches the age of 30, she should decide to remain single forever or if not then spent the year looking for her partner, whoever he may be. There are indeed more women that men in this world. Will we then have a shortage of men?
