can you allow others the joy of "being right"?

many people belive that its somehow their job to show others their positions are incorrect. thnk about it. has anyone ever thanked you when you corrected them or made yourself "right" at their expense? of course not. all of us hate to be corrected. we all want our postions to be respected and understood by others. being listened to and heard is one of the greatest desires of the human heart. and those who learn to listen are the most loved and respected. do you agree with this?

I think you're confusing "being heard" and "being right" my wife used to have a problem with me. She says I had to have the last word, I always had a reason for everything or I always needed to be right.
Actually, I don't enjoy any of those things however, I explained to her that she needed to know the reason for doing what I'm doing before she gives me her opinion.
Being right is satisfying, however I do allow other people to be right in their opinion as opposed to mine only after they have learned all the reasons behind it: why I have the opinion, why I formed that opinion etc etc... because it corrects whatever wrong opinion, decision or action I have and actually gives me an opportunity to improve myself.
