A story of $20

Once I read a story with philosophic theory. I want to share this story with you all! Hope you can learn something from it! A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200 people, he asked:"Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up. He said,"I am going to give this $20 to one of you. but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up. He then ask:"Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. "Well," he replied,"What if I do this?" He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air. "My friend, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what i do to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth$20."Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes, not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE. You are special--don't ever forget it.

Everyone should read this post. It gave me a big smile on my face, no not the stupid smile kind but a smile that starts as a warmth from inside. Thank you for sharing this. I wasn't feeling very worthy earlier because of some hurtful comments flung my way, but now I feel like I'm really worth something, and that that worth will always be me, no matter what people say or do to me.

this is a nice a story where a lesson can be learnt. thanks for sharing. :) we must never forget who we are no matter where our journey in life take us, whoever we meet, whatever we may become. deep inside us, we were and will still be, the person we truly are. ;)

that was a nice one, i remembered when my teacher showed us a 500 peso bill, he asked us who wants to have his money.. many of us raised our hands.. and then he teached us the lesson about grabbing the opportunity, that in order for you to grab the opportunity, go for it, dont just raise your hand.. you must do something.. but i wonder woul he give that to use when we snatched it to him?? hehe..^^
