hi... i think kartik is best option to opening because he is telented player also find a way of making run at the same time he is very optimistic about cricket so i think that he is best option to opening.metter of dhoni i think it is true that he had not performed well in world cup but he is best wicket keeper as indian team ever got,so according to me dhoni is best for the middle order and he just need some more training.i think indian cricket should give chance to play against bangladesh.

I donna think that Dhoni should be replaced. The poor performance of Indian batting has been due to Chappell's excessive policy of experimentation. Each and evryone needs to fit in a role and Chappell did not allow any batsmen to fit in a role! If a student is asked abruptly to learn half answer for one question and other half for other how can he learn anything. Similarly, none of the Indian batsman knew what he was supposed to do. Can u tell me at which order in batting Dhooni batting. No! Coz sometimes he comes at three, sometimes, four, sometimes five and so on. He is definately a good batsman. Much better than Karthik. His average speaks of that. Bowlers fear him. He can bat consistently. Can be flamboyant. So what more u need? And to add to it he is as good as a keeper as Karthik is, or rather he is better. I just think India needs a good coach right now. Some Indian coach.

My feeling is that not to replace Dhoni with anyone.Though Karthik is doing a wonderful job as a batsmen, its high time that the Indian team realizes the need to stick on to one keeper, Karthik could sneak into the Team only as batsman and not on anyother grounds.Needless to say that Dhoni is also an excellent allrounder.

I think you have raised a question which is difficult to answer in the current context. Don't just blame Dhoni. Who else has performed recently for India? Do you know that the completely-out-of sorts and out-of-form Sehwag is the top scorer for India in the World cup. The Indians batting is so ridiculous recently. Dinesh Karthik is certainly a better keeper than Dhoni. But, as far as batting is concerned, Dhoni is miles ahead of Karthik. Since Karthik is expected to open the innings in test matches, India can try Karthik in test matches and use Dhoni in ODIs. Or, Karthik can be used a wicket-keeper in one-dayers also and Dhoni comes in as a pure batsman at No. 3 position. That might work. Thanks.

I feel yes, that dinesh karthik should be replacing dhoni who is currently out of form and is far better player only in Indian pitches and that too against weaker teams like bangladesh, etc. While dinesh karthik had batted well in south africa, etc and has good temperament than dhoni.

India is playing around 45 ODIs and 15 tests in the current season. I think Dhoni should not be dropped but should be rested in couple of matches especially in the test matches and Karthik should be rested in couple of ODI matches. This will helps to prevent burnouts among both of them. Also, it is always blessing to have two wicket keepers in the team. Even when one is injured during a season or during a visit to other country another can easily replace him. I also think Dhoni is worth and he can certainly play the next world cup considering his young age along wiht Dinesh Karthik.

ya its rt but i think dhoni should gave some more time karthik is best but i think dhoni is also good. play dhoni as bats man and karthik as keeper so he concentrate on batting but my opinion is gave some more time to dhoni

It will be foolish to think of remvoeing dhoni by looking at its bad perfoemance in one series. The shots dhoni played dinesh karthik will never go for that.

never...u cant judge a cricketer in just a series..he has failed just in two matches..just watch him in the coming series against bangladesh...

I dont think that dhoni should be replaced by karthik , yes karthik is a good player but dhoni is not less than him.he can be a wonderful player for any team. judging him by only one tournament would be very bad , if you think that dhoni shoild be replaced by his performance in the world cup then not only him everybody should be replaced , no one has played a good cricket in the world cup. i would say it would be good for us if we have these two players in the team ,keeping dhoni has a wicketkeeper come batsmen and karthik has a specialist batsmen. this would make the team more stronger in the future.

oh ya surely man its time to rethink n analyse n its time to rethink about taking back dinesh karthik.i think hes an excellent cricketer with an maturted mind on his shoulders.its time when dhoni should be asked to play domestic cricket n again start performing.well karthik has shown his capability and well nt to deny the fact tht karthik is more fit than dhoni.karthik seems to b very relax n cool minded n plans out his innings and is fully committed.so he must be called for the indian team
