I've learned from Jackie Chan that Wushu a martial, a dance. Your own dance steps. Meaning it's your own style. If that is the case, well I have mixed taekwondo, judo, aikido, arnis, kendo, karatedo, taichi, muay thai, kung-fu into my own wushu. I want your opinion, tell me what is the best martial art for you? Foundation and style?

kinda intersting thoughts there about wushu. anyway, to the topic, the best martial art might be a martial art wherein you feel very comfortable with. any martial art discipline has their own strengths, and its up to the practitioner as to how to discover those. i do have a taekwondo, muay thai, and aikido background, and mixing them up is great! thats where experience will take its place

Yes, mixing them up is good. Sometimes I have this thought that the best martial art is the one with the incomplete style because you tend to strive and compensate for the flaws.

I think you're confusing the words kungfu and wushu..wushu in chinese means literally "martial art" whereas kungfu can mean a variety of things, but is mainly used to describe "a personally acquired skill" so your kungfu in this case is your mix of all those styles. Keep up the good work, d00d! ^.^

That's what I'm trying to say dude. Wushu is your personal style. By the way, if that's the case then Bruce Lee's JKD is his wushu. Hmmm..

Good. Learning martial arts in an early stage develops discipline. They'll carry it all through out their life.
