We have quite a few in our backyard. Our house use to be my grandparents so other relatives pets (and even a really close family friend back in the days) are buried in our backyard. Right down the back against the back fence is where they were originally buried. My knowledge has atleast one dog and three cats in that area, with it being really realistic that there are more. Those numbers a literally from my lifetime, and the house was built some 25 years before that. Back in the days my grandfather would make a little cross and paint the animals name on it and place it where they were buried. Our more recent place has two cats from a couple of years ago. Above both places is a little paver stone painted with their name on it. We also planted a little rose there for each cat. :)

We have 2 dogs buried at our backyard right now. We really miss them and whenever I go out on the backyard, it's funny but I still cry. We love them so much. My brother built a cross on top of their graveyards.

I don't have any, but when I was at home we had 4 buried there. It is illegal in our town to bury animals in the back yard, which seems a little on the silly side to me. They should worry about more important things.

Well, we buried at cat in my parents yard one time, and my boyfriend at the time did it for me and he put stones all around it. My dad moved them because he needed them and the next day my boyfriends little brother put them back, but we didnt know and it spooked us out.

Aww..that's so sweet that you even have headstones for your pets...I live in an apartment building so I obviously don't have a backyard per se...but there is an area in the back with some trees and earth, and over the years, I buried my smaller animals there, like my pet birds, and kittens that didn't live long...many of the kittens were born in the apartment (uh, a problem my mom created--as they weren't fixed in time)--I can't even begin to guess how many are buried there..quite a bit...my older cats who went to the land of Bast though we'd take to be cremated, and have their ashes in nice containers..maybe a bit weird but...still have them

We have 3 dogs, 2 puppies, and 2 horses buried in our back yard, well at the back of our property. We put up little wooden crosses for everyone of them. They were all like part of the family so they deserved the same attention as we would like to have. I guess you can say we definately have our own little pet cemetary.

We have several dogs buried in our backyard. Since I was a kid, we have always had dogs as our pets. And when they die, we do not throw them at just anywhere. Since they had been a special part of the family, my dad and brothers bury them in our backyard. We do not put headstones, though.

The only animal buried in our backyard is my daughter's hamster Kimmie. We didn't put a marker or anything there. Now my daughter put a larger rock on top the grave to keep wild animals from trying to dig her out. Growing up my dad didn't bury our pets directly behind our house. He would take them up on the hill on our property and bury them. He said they would have a better view from there. Even they didn't have a marker. Just the same thing, with a bunch of rocks on top of it to keep animals from getting in. Now when my dogs pass away, I don't know if I could bury them in the back yard. Our back yard tends to flood some when we get heavy rains. So I will probably call whoever will come and get her, sad to say.

Gosh, there are a few in my yard. There are 3 cats, 1 dog, 1 duck, and even a turkey. I have no doubt I am forgetting a pet or 2. No, we don't have any headstone for our pets. A couple of the cats were buried under a tree, though.

Hmm... I have lost track now. I had a little stone for the first one, then I just started putting everyone else in a line next to her. The stone is gone now. I have always told anyone who mowed the yard to be careful of my stone, so I'm not sure who was responsible for it not being there anymore. I wanted to put a stome, maybe a flat one, for everyone. I even thought of getting an ingraver to put names and dates, but it's been so long... I don't know if I would remember who's where.

Well, we have two in the backyard right now and at my old house there was about 20 or so various cats, dogs, rabbits, turtles, ducks, etc. We have headstones on only 3 of them but I know exactly where all of them are buried so I can go find them even without a marker.

This is a question that's sad for me to answer, but we have lived here for 17 years, and I have always had alot of pets, since I have always taken in strays, sometimes, litters of kittens that would have otherwise been killed, if I hadn't, so between the dogs and cats, and that many years, I could only guess, and I'd say probably at least 40 or more. Between the neighbors, and their dogs, and maybe even the snakes around here, oh, yes, and my mother in law that doesn't pay attention to what she's running over, I have lost at least 4 cats, this year alone. It makes me so sad, I miss every one of them.
