Take a Breathlizer Test. the teens are furious some of them don't want to go to Prom because their rights are being violated, I can agree with this, because alot of children drink while going to the prom. it would cut down on accidents or someone getting killed from drinking and driving, I think it is a good idea. The teens don't like this. What does everyone think? first I heard of this. Every student.

I think it is an awesome idea. If it saves even one life it would be worth it. So many kids think that there is no harm in 'one little drink' and then they attempt driving. The kids who don't drink should have no problem taking a breathilyzer exam.

Well i am for the idea that they should not go to a prom night, but i guess its just more of a wishful thinking since this event is one of the most anticipated among the teens (i nervously & excitedly anticipated it in my time). It is sort of a right of passage for them (we all know it is). This seems to be an exercise of independence among teens - whichever way it is interpreted - & be in command for & in full authority of themselves wherever directions it will bring them. This also becomes our anxious night to meditate among adults how developed have our teens become, with the decisions they will make & how responsible they will be for this night. My prom night was a beautiful & at the same time a bit sad one. I could have probably include that night in my list of the things I'm gonna change if given the chance to change back time. Being adults, we just have play our role evenly - how evenly? that will also be a discovery we have to do, they're turning into adults anyway.

What is to stop them from going to a buddies house and getting blasted? They could have what they call a lock in party where they drink but cannot go home unless they are sober keys taken at the door. If your drunk you can't drive you have to stay unless you call or a cab or for someone to pick you up. Yeah it would make a lot of teens mad because this is their last time to be wild in school..Prom night. When teens finally let go of a lot of things and party hard. It will save lives possibly.

I support it!! Its sad that the schools would even have to think of doing something like this. I am all for it, it will save lives. Everyday innocent people are needlessly killed or horribly hurt from drunk drivers. No one should drink and drive. Teenagers think they are invincible, they just do not think, what can happen if they drink and drive.

I think they should have this in every state.

It is very good idea, because kids younger than 21 shouldn't drink anyway....in addition to, driving and drinking is very common along teens, they don't know how to use their common sense yet and not to drive....your city is very smart...prom is about dancing and joy, not drinking....:)

I have seen so many teens killed after Prom night so it makes a lot of sense to me. I think it should mandatory in all states.

I dont support it. Im sure all of you have drank or atleast tried it before you were the legal age. I dont support teenagers getting rediculously drunk at prom or just in general becuase I am not a big fan of drinking. But I feel as if there rights are being violated because by making them take a breathalizer they feel as if they are not trusted. I dont know about prom down there, but where I was there was ALTEAST 12 teachers chaperoning. I think they should worry more about the party afterwards then kids drinking before prom because there are ALOT of people that are going to be keeping an eye on things.
