The cry is expressive of hunger or pain. In fact, the extent of of the meaning of the cry is too large. The cry is not external to the child. It comes from within and expresses some need. But it is often disregarded as extraneous to its necessity.

No doubt! babies cry really distrubs us & honestly, i feel very restless when i heard cry of babies but medical says that its ok for little babies to cry for few moments. Babies usually cry when they are alone, hungry or feel restlessness. Its better to check & solve the problem of a baby instead of keeping him crying bcuz cry for few minutes is ok but long time........ But i dislike to see babies crying. Little angels look more pleasant when they smile instead of weeping.

There isn't anything you can do, babies cry .. it's not a bad thing, we all assume that if a baby is yelling then there's something wrong but this isn't the case. You have done all the usual checks, hunger, nappy, comfort and none of these are wanted then just let him have his hour of glory and let him yell. It can be sould destroying but just go with it, he's new and can't do much else. It does stop eventually and you will wonder what all the fuss was about. Good luck

I can still remember that the doctor told me to allow the baby to cry for a few minutes each morning. It is necessary for them to. It is a form of exercise for them and is good for their lungs. However, as a mother, whenever the baby cries, I always try to find out the reason for the cries. It could be that he wants milk, or water or that he is wet or something else. A baby who cries more than normal is a sick child and must be brought to the doctor for an appropriate remedy.

It depends upon how old is the baby. Babies upto 2-3 months young should cry a lot. Crying is a form of exercise for them and it also provides them lots of oxygen which is essential to ensure proper growth. After that age, crying may be indicative of something like hunger or pain, or maybe not. While it is good to have the baby checked if it cries a lot, but it necessarily doesn't mean that something's wrong.

I do not think that a baby would cry as part of its exercising schedule.. Each cry is expressive of some need - at an early stage it must evidently be either of hunger or pain.
