why does a person make fun of another person?

Many people make fun of others. I think the reason depends on the different situations. 1. Mean people do nothing but make fun of other. These people just make others angry with him. He doesn't know respect, and he only care about the feeling of himself. 2. Good friends make fun of each other, it's a good way. You know, to know each other better, to have more fun when hanging together. That's a way good friends do. Sometimes I make fun of others, but I am very careful to care about others'feeling.

Just laugh at the jokes because sometimes people who are not happy with themselves will try to make fun of others, just to make themselves fell better. I make jokes to the people I'm close to. Because I know they won't take it against me...But not in a rude way!

I think someone makes fun of another because they find him or her funny for whatever reason that may be... There are other types of making fun, for example in school when it is not well intentioned and that is wrong. However, having said that, I am sre we all have made fun of someone at one time or another like of your child when he or she took her first steps or said something increadibly cute, your boss (and I have done that many times ;), an animal playing etc. Making fun of someone in good humour is okay and I guess we all have been there but making fun of someone and hurt his or her feelings is never okay -
