i admit that plastics harm the environment but sometimes i dont mind using them because, well, its convenient. but as i said it harms the environment and we need the environment so it could provide us our needs. my point here is that plastic is useful but we need to take action on proper disposal of these. we should recycle it. or better yet, invent something like plastic that easily decomposes, something that is nature-friendly. is it possible though?

the ones that we should throw to the bottomless pit are the nonbiodegradable plastics. there are new materials that could replace those but the problem is, none is feasible enough to mass produce these biodegradable ones. one development i've seen on Discovery was, Japanese researchers were making plastic bags out of shells specifically of shrimps.. they used it for an assortment of things

Plastic is a blessing AND a curse. If more people were to recycle, plastic would be an renewable and very long lasting substance. Because we, the world, are more wrapped up in our own lives to care about taking care of the planet on a large scale, we will be doomed to deal with the trash that comes along with it. Styrofoam is much worse than plastic. It can't be recycled, that I know of, and almost never breaks down over time.

Plastic is all over our country. It is all over the world. I believe that it is really time to stop using it. Especially, this time that we were starting to feel the effects of global warming. No matter how we deny it, but plastics plays vital role in polluting our world. It doesn't degrade or melts down in time. It stays on the ground no matter how long. So people should find a way to help control using plastic and disposed it properly.
