It's always an important thing to reward the people who keep businesses running. Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of our 9-5 days we forget to show pwople that they are appreicated. That's why it's important not to let Administrative Professional day pass by.
I'm going to be giving my officemate some of his favorite snacks and treats to thank him for all the help he has given me.
What about you? Did you give something nice to the admin's in your office...Did your boss get something nice for you?

I use to always get something nice when I worked in public. I've been freelancing for several years now, but my husband always sends me something sweet.
He's so special to think of little things like this.

That is very sweet. This is the first year my boyfriend is in the 9-5 world or support staff. I made sure to sent him a card today too.

How awesome. I know he will appreciate it. We should encourage our loved ones as much as we can. You're a special person to do that for him.

I love Administrative Professionals Day! Every year I get treats from both my manager and director.
This year my supervisor got me my favorite drink from Starbucks (a caramel apple cider) and a blueberry muffin for breakfast. Then a little while ago, my director gave me a box of really fancy chocolates.
I think this day is such a great idea. Not only because I get goodies, but also because it makes me feel appreciated. Being an administrative assistant can often involve a lot of grunt work and ever a little bit of swallowing your pride, so it's really nice to know that my efforts are appreciated.

It is so important for Staff to feel appreicated. In fact, that is part of my job...running a rewards and recognition program is actually in my job description. I'm an "individual contributer" these days so don't get stuff for Admin Day (and never did...I think I had some lame bosses in the past), but giving praise and recognition is almost as fun as getting it. It feels good to make other people feel good.

I didn't get or receive anything this year, because I am not an administrative assistant of any sort, and I don't really work in a job where we have any administrative assistants. Last year though I remember giving a little bag of chocolates and a coffee mug.
