My Dr. Scheduled my c-section yesterday! It will be May 22nd. We are very excited. Has anyone else been through a scheduled c-section? It all seems kind of wierd to me. My daughter was a c-section and it was not scheduled, but also no suprise that she had to be taken via c-section (she was breech). I'm comfortable with it, but it's just really strange. With my luck I'll go into labor before the 22nd.

It is not unusual to have them schedule a c-section if you have already had one. My sister ended up having all of her children that way. Yes you may go into labor before hand as she did twice but not to worry they can still do it the doctor is just making sure you and the baby are taken care of. So don't worry just sit back and enjoy the fact that you only have 27 days left!!! Let us know when the new arrival comes and pictures would be nice. Nothing better then new baby pictures!!

I'll be sure to post pics of my little bundle as soon as he or she arrives. Thanks for your reply. I know my Dr.s #1 concern is me and the baby so I'm sure things will go well - but the whole "appointment" thing is just so wierd. Thanks again!

Mine was an elective C Section - i have a metal screw in my hip & i opted for the CS as i didn't want to risk my daughter getting stuck if my pelvis didn't open up enough to let her through. If you have a scheduled CS & you go in to labour, they may let you continue if you choose to do so but if i had've gone in to labour before my scheduled date, they would have rushed me in for an emergency CS. I did feel bad for not having my daughter naturally but i didn't want to take any chances & it worked out very well for me in the end. My new scar is barely noticable as they did an awesome job, i was up & about the following morning & i still bonded with my daughter like ny! Good luck with your next birth!
