If you are new to the internet, surfing, competitios, surveys and signing up for offers here is what I hope is a useful tip. Take a second e mail address from one of the free sites such as google or hotmail. You can then read your urgent and especially wanted mail without having to scan through all the junk which will inevitably follow when you complete offers etc. and read your offers etc at your convenience. I have received some wonderful offers and vouchers from newsletter sites etc so I have found the inevitable spam bearable. I also do not open anything I don't recognise - so be careful. Not all spammers are just spammers, some are downright dangerous with their viri. Have fun :-)

Oh yes i have done that before i even knew there is online earning thing at all,i have around 5 email id's used for different purposes, education, friends, job, entertainment and online earnings and i prefer yahoo for transactional thing as i think its more reliable and secure as my hotmail got hacked twice now.But with doing these online earning things i got more than 350 emails per day and most of them are spam mails,i wish i can kick all the spammers :D .

That is a good tip. I've done the same thing because I'm constantly signing up for offers.

Yes well I would agree with you that it is always best to have a second email address for we are spammed to much these days and I have had my second email address for near to 7 years now and I am very happy that I did do this otherwise my mail box would be filled with too much rubbish and it would take me all day to just delete it. And it is very important in regards to viruses do not open any mail that you do not recognise.

There's the rub, Kathy, when you do competitions and other such things you don't always know which e mail address their incoming mail will be from, so you sometimes have to take a chance. My mails are screened by virus scanner before they are opened, but you never know, do you, some creative little can't use the word on Mylot could have come up with another virus not yet heard of by the anti virus.
