The ads on TV say you get 2 weeks free with the purchase of 4 weeks. Has anyone tried the program? Is the food good? Is it just a lot of micorwave dinners? Any fresh food? Please post any experiences you've had with the company.

I ordered an almost 300 dollar package of Nutrisystem last year and I really regret it! I have cupboards full of the stuff still because I couldn't eat most of it. I say "couldn't" because it all tastes like cardboard. Nothing is fresh. It all comes in boxes or foil-lined pouches. How do burgers and pizza and pasta stay fresh in those conditions? Well, because they are not real at all! Please save your money. It got to the point where I would be eating something of theirs and I would decide that I would rather go hungry than have to finish it. It's that gross. That must be how people lose weight on it!!

Thanks for the advice! I think you've talked me out of it!

When I bought it I was hoping it would be the answer to my weight problems, but unfortunately it was not. Not only was I still overweight, but I had just wasted $300 and had a ton of boxed foods that I had no where to put. They are not even frozen dinners. Everything can be kept in the cupboard. Haha sorry I'm ranting...I just really hated the whole experience. The food is nothing like the commercials show!

I have not tried it, but I have checked into it. It is just microwavable prepared food. It's about $350 for a month. Not bad if you are buying for yourself alone, but--for me--I have a family I have to shop for and I can't afford $300 on my own food.

I know this is horrible, but I spend about $400/month on food (including eating out--which I do WAY too much). I think it would be a decent idea. Do you know how many calories per day the meals are?

I have not personally tried Nutri-System, but a friend did and she HATED it. She said that the food was totally tasteless and like rubber. She further stated that the portions were very small. She had much better luck with WeightWatchers, after having wasted a ton of money on Nutri-System.

well, then in your case, you would be saving a big of money. that would be perfect for you. I am not sure how many calories...I know that the foods are all the amount of carbs, protein and fat you need so there is no need for you to have to count or keep up with anything. I think it also includes dessert.
