Let's spill our seller secrets. Which items do you make the most money selling on ebay? How do you acquire these items? How much do you pay for them? How much do you sell them for? I frequently sell Cosabella lingerie. There is a store near me that sells it on clearance for 80% off. It goes on eBay for at least double what I paid for it. I make about $4/thong.

I don't really have an item that I buy and then re-sell. The only thing I really do on Ebay is when I have clothes that don't fit anymore or I don't wear anymore, I put them into a lot on Ebay. The most I ever made off a lot was a little over $100. I just recently had a lot that I thought I was going to make a lot of money off of, but I only made like $60, so I was pretty dissapointed.

How do you sell lots of clothing? I have a bunch of clothes that I would like to get rid of, but I didn't think I could sell used clothes on eBay.

We sell stuff from overstock.com and find websites with daily deals. Also, the webkins from Hallmark stores have been profitable. We haven't been consistently profitable with any items, but when there's a bidding war, then the price skyrockets.

I guess one of my highest sales was a Christmas ornament I bought at a garage sale for $3.00 and sold for $1200. I knew exactly what it was and how rare it was and my timing was good. I bought it in October. Funny thing, while I was walking around, I heard the husband and wife who were having the sale tell people that they had checked prices on eBay. I guess they missed that one. Mostly, I sell books and my highest profit there was $600 for a book I bought for $1.00 at a church thrift but that was four years ago and I haven't come up with one that valuable since.
