More crime in America and abroad

Because of the craze of CSI and shows of this nature, do you think the crime rate has gone up or has it always been this way and we are only now seeing more crime because the media has more access events that happen when they happen and not a day later?
To put it another way, has crime on TV, made crime in America that much more easier now? Do you think there are other factors involved in the crime spree across America and abroad like lack of parenting, lack of family values, lack of communication?
Here is another theory: In your area where you live, do you ever see jets flying over your home, but you do not hear them flying over? I think these jets are releasing some chemical on us below to cause a mass confusion and make us want to hurt others. This may seem like a conspiracty theory to many, but there is evidence of this happening and I do take photos of these jets flying over my area like twice a day.
So, what do you think?

I have jets passing over my house on a regular basis and I do not believe for one second that they are releasing chemicals to hurt us. So far as crime shows on tv are concerned, if anything I believe they are making people more aware of the problems rather than promoting crime. It is not limited to the USA hun, I live in the UK and we have crime rates just like you.

Yes, I understand about you too having crime this is why I also added abroad to include not only the US. It is sad though.
I am just wondering if crime today, was this bad say a century ago and because there was not a big media presence, it was not and could not be reported on as frequently as it is today.
You know, maybe before 9/11, I would have totally thought, "My government would never want to hurt me and my family." But after 9/11, I began listening to this one radio show: Radio Liberty with Dr. Stan Monteith in Carmel, CA and he and his guests opened my eyes and they removed me from the pot of boiling water. I used to also think ignorance was bliss, but once you search for and find the truth, you have to be held accountable to those around you whom you love, even if there is not a darn thing you can do to stop it from happening.

If you look back to a time when we did not have multimedia communication I guess you would find that the crime rates were still high but the masses didn't hear about them. Now we have instant media news reporting everyone get to hear of it instantly.

I don't think the shows are creating more crime. You had shows forensics and other crime shows since TB began. Quincy was a great show that dealt with it along with Dragnet or Starskey and Hutch. They all dealt with them in one way or the other. I think one of the main factors in the crime lately is the fact that parenting has been limited for a while now. More and more kids are growing up without the respect for the law and other people that most were taught as they grew up prior to the 90's. I think in many ways we need to take a few steps back especially in how we raise children.
As to the jets I don't agree with that. Yes I have seen jets but we are right near a major airport and a military base. I'd be more worried if I didn't see and hear them to be honest. Now in my area if they wanted to put some sort of chemical like that out it wouldn't be hard with the mosquito (spelling) control. They spray every few months so that would work better. I don't think they are doing that but I'm just saying if they were going to that would be better.

You are correct, where has all the parenting gone? We, as a society, have given our children over to the state, more or less. And, this is exactly what the state wants. That is why the state is doing their best to ban this and ban that and restrict this and restrict that all to make parenting a little harder and to accuse us of wanting to love our children by disciple that would teach them right from wrong and have good morals and values to live by.
What happened to honor thy mother and thy father?
Now for the spraying, I think I live pretty close to a base in Sacramento, CA and this of course is where they will be housing the jets that fly over my neighborhood to drop these chemicals on us.
Even George Noory talks about chemtrails sometimes on his show on coast to coast. This is not a joke nor am I trying to scare anyone, but, if more and more people are seeing this and reporting about it, them I got to tell you, it has to going on and is true.
The truth is a scary thing indeed and I take no pleasure in talking about this. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen these plumes of smoke or chemicals trailing the jets that stealhly fly in our skies these days.
