as u see that todays education more hard than ealier,so students have more pressure as more expetations are from their parents.also the cutoff is increasing year by year so they have to get more and more percantage.we also ofen hear of suicidal cases made by the students due to not getting of good marks,it is very harmful for society.

Yes and no. It depends on where you go to the school. If you go to top ranking universities and/or schools, for instance, you may have more academic pressures than other schools. In other words, you may have more pressures because of academic and other competitions. Instructors at the top universities are also more demanding and students at such universities are more competitive at all levels because they are expected to be the best (especially if they get a scholarship). I could tell the differences because I was ever a student there. But it is not always like that. Social environment can also play an important role. At other schools, you may also get other pressures such as peer pressures. Take a look at the schools which are specialized for troubled and disadvantage kids. You may find gang related issues. I believe that today curriculums are heavier than those of past (including extra-curricular activities). People have put more pressures on the schools now because kids are future generations who will be expected to lead the nation. There are more competitions now than those of the past. We have more population today and many companies are looking for students who have good marks. It is just one of their ways in order to sort between good and bad apples although I don't agree with this method.

yes, students are really pressured this days compare to 20 or 50 years ago. i attend the same school where my parents attended. they said that calculus and trigonometry we're not introduced to them until college but now a sophomore in high school already tackles that kind of subject. they also said that there are fewer subjects offered. but now, when you go to a university, you'll find hundreds of subjects that only deals with just one field of study. so today, because of technological innovations, we acquire alot of knowledge and it just keeps on adding up. no wonder, children nowadays find classes so boring because teachers would introduce concepts that is still beyond their thinking abilities.

students have more pressure now a days because there is more competition. There is too much pressure on students to meet deadlines, learn, study, revise and do well at exams to get the required percantage for higher education.

Education is not hard its the way its imparted. The problem is first the concept of marks (Are u an Indian) u get really good marks but the point is that everyone forgets that marks doesnt bring knowledge(Depends on an individual). I have seen loads of cases like that u have bookish knowledge that to limited.
