How did my myLot earnings decrease?

I've heard of people's earnings or points decreasing before, but I never paid attention as to how this could happen. But now I'm a little shocked that it happened to me. Why? How? It was only a decrease of 10 cents, but I want to know what I did wrong so I won't do it again.
On Sunday I had earned forty cents, I just checked last night. I also go over my earnings. Well, this afternoon I got on again, and saw my Sunday earnings were now listed as thirty cents. I know it was forty before. So why did it go down? Did I do something wrong, because if so, I'd really like to fix that. How's this possible? Thank you! :)

The reason is quite straightforward. It is likely that some of your responses or discussions have been deleted. When this happens, your post count (rating) drops and your earnings as well.
If during this "adjustment", nothing of yours have been deleted, you will see an increase of your earnings instead - since the pot that is shared will have to be shared among less people, so to speak.

i guess the reason behind paying mylot user was to make the site popular
as number of users invreasing i think they are decreasing the amount og money

But seriously, Sunday was only a few days ago. I earned those forty cents only a few days ago. And it was still forty yesterday, but now today it says thirty. I don't think it would be so sudden. And if they did start paying less because of more people joining, they wouldn't steal from past earnings, would they? Wouldn't they just pay less for future earnings?
I just hope I didn't do anything wrong that would make my earnings go down. I'm not so upset over the loss of ten cents, I just want to know why it was taken in the first place.

that is not normal!
i m sure that they are paying less as time goes by and number of users are incereasing here
but you said that your earning vanished!!!!thats something we need to think about, i never hurd anything like this and also it never happened to me
i dont know that do myLot has customer care or not? if they do they i wouls suggest you to to contact them...it is a serious issue and need to be solved

I've heard of it happening to others before but it's never actually happened to me, until now. It's just 10 cents that went missing, and it's not so much money. Maybe they're just making adjustments, so I won't contact them this one time. If I notice it happen again though I might make an inquiry. Thank you very much for your responses! :)

it happened to me too i think. but i didnt obther as i was too busy posting discussions. but i thought mylot would adjust the amount.

Yeah I've heard of it happening to others before. I guess I shouldn't worry about it, I was just hoping the amount didn't go down because of something I might've done wrong.
I only 60 cents away from making this month's payment, and the end of the month is just a few days off. I know I can make the deadline though. :)

Hye guy, there is a live mouse inside mylot and when our discussion delete due to violation of guideline then that live mouse activate and decrease our point and earing..lol, so do not voilet mylot guideline so do not worry for decrease as decrease of money and point pain us more as it take much to earn a cent here and no time to loss more cents if we violet guideline or give minus rating to anyone without valid reason etc.

I do not violate the guidelines, or at least not to my knowledge. When I join a site like this, I always read the rules multiple times to make sure I don't break any of them. And I haven't been posting anything out of the ordinary, that could even be considered violation. And I never give minus ratings, either. I always give pluses and if there's one I don't like, I just don't rate it. That is what I have heard to do. ?

it was only 10 cents 4 u......then u r lucky enough coz with me it was a much higher amount...i was shocked to see the decrese.
for feb. i completed my 10$ and rested without opening this site but after 3-4 days when i opened my lot ,i was shocked to see that my earnings decreased to 7.XX something.
ha.....about 3$ were decreased then to get payment next month i started earning the 3 again.
hope nothing like this happens to anyone again.

I think that when myLot removes a discussion ~or sometimes a person is removed~ completely, anyone who replied will lose what they earned on that discussion.
I bet you haven't done anything wrong.

Most of the time when mylot make a clean -up, i find my earnings increasing up to a dollar more, which makes me ecstatic. I am sorry to hear yours decreased. I think my number of post decreased by 4 from the last time i logged in. Lordwarwizard is a genius for having thought of a great idea on how this things happened.
I know you've worked hard to reach the $10 payout, i think you made it through and for that congrats!

Hello,taymouse,it always happend in mylot,when you keep update on the mylot earnings and points everyday,you will find yourself getting less than the previous days,as from the explantion of mylot,they said discussions which have violated discussion rules are being deleted everyday and the replies to those discussions will be removed,that is why the post numbers decreased everyday,one of the member even lost 900 posts a day but I am not sure why did it happen to her.

i dont know i think the points decrease if you lose friends but i dont know about the earnings because if someone posts a reply to your discussions you get paid. did you check the earnings did it say minus anything maybe you posted something negative as ive already had quite a few posters deleting their messages and havent noticed any lower earnings but when i deleted some friends who hadnt written posts for a month then my points went down. maybe do a search in mylot earnings and see if the same things happened with anyone else

You know I have no explination for this. Just the other day, I had 12.25 in my account and in the same day it went down to 11.78 and back up to 12.29. It is very screwy if you ask me. I just hope the site doesn't have to shut down because of ediots trying to cheat the system. That happened not but recently to another site like this.

It was because the earnings goes a bit up and down and the model is not working perfectly and counts out the exact earnings.
