Do you depend on your microwave?

Mine just broke.I never realized how much I miss it.Heating up leftovers takes forever.Especially if you want a late night snack.I even found myself cutting open a bag of microwaveable popcorn and putting it in a pan with a lid! I used it to make scambled eggs in the morning so I can cut down on the butter intake.I really miss it.I had it since my son was born.He is 21 now,so I got alot of use out of it.Would it bother you to not have a microwave?Think about it.It does make life easy at times.

I know how you feel, my microwave went out and it was like it disabled the whole family. No more popcorn, no more re-warming leftovers, no cup of quick hot tea or coffee. We were awful without it, I had to make a special trip to Wal Mart to purchase one! Then about a month after that my stove blew up! Now, we are looking to move in the next few weeks so I have been trying to get by without one. I have a toaster oven and it has worked for us so far!

no, i m not t all depended on microwave. its radiation is harmful for human body and the milk given to babies is also strongly denied by doctors, if warmed in microwave. it is good if you use it for popcorns or so but not for everything. i would prefer oven rather than a microwave. the studies show that even standing infront of microwave for 5-10 min is harmful because of its harmful radiations which are unknown. microwave cooked food suffers molecule damage. it damages our immunity system and decreases the nutritional level of the food. and male and female hormone production is shut down if the food is eaten continuously.

I'm sorry for your broken microwave. I do depend on my microwave and if it breaks I think I will go get another one the same day! I just use it for almost everything. I even cook some recipes in it. To heat my milk I just put my cup in the microwave and select the time and it's done. Without the microwave I would have to use a pan, heat the milk on the stove and be there until it is done and then pour into my cup. That's a hassle. I just think that we get spoiled with things.

I'm using microwave every day, but I don't like to use it Althea it has good benefits, because I hate those radiations emitted from it, I afraid from it, I prefer to use cooker rather than microwave, but At late night and if I'm busy I use it and I don't care.

I agree with you about the radiation, but most of that scare started when they first came out.I don't really here much about it anymore.Oh Well! I have been using one since they came out and I am still fine.

I love my microwave. I reheat as well as cook in my mic. I guess I use it every day of the week in the summer. Since I have asthma I can't really use the over because it puts too much heat in the house. I like baked potatoes in the microwave. Most of the time it only takes ten minutes to cook. I like to heat up those left overs as well. They make great meals the next day.

I love my microwave. I heat up a lot of tv dinners and instant noodle meals that way because it's just way too easy. I don't have the time, nor the space to cook, so having a microwave around is quite a blessing.

I haven't owned a microwave in a long time, I really don't miss it. They take up a lot of room on the counter, I've always lived in rentals so I can't mount one anywhere. They destroy good nutrients in food. Plus new microwaves always seem to break easily. I know those huge ones from back in the day seem to last forever, but the last one we had quit working after a year!

I depend a lot on my microwave for heating food and water to make hot drinks. Other than that, i hardly use the oven since I have a gas stove and another electric stove that are easier to use for cooking rather than the microwave oven.

I think food tastes better cooked in the oven or on the stove. But I babysit 2 children. My husband eats at 3:30 and the kids eat at 6:00.It is so much easier to heat their food up instead of recooking it.

YES I would be bothered! We use the microwave numerous times during the day and I have no clue what I would do without it! I really like how fast it is, I have 4 kids so sometimes we really NEED fast and easy around here!

We went a couple of weeks without a microwave and it did take getting used to. I try not to depend on it too much but it makes heating things/leftovers up so easy.

That is mostly what I used it for.I fix my husband a dinner at 3:00.Then at 6:00 I have to reheat it because I baby 2 little girls.I used to wash my pots and pans then make them a plate and throw it in the microwave. Now I have to wait for them to get here to clean .

Hey that microwave lasted a long time I'm impressed. I think I would find that I use it more than i think i do. I heat veggies in it, and leftovers. I make soup in it. I think it would be hard to adjust to not having one.

It is hard to adjust. But I am getting there.Lets just say that if I wasn't here to cook my son and husband would lose alot of weight. The microwave was a kenmore I was impresssed also.

I depend on my microwave a lot because I pretty much use my microwave for all the foods that I have in my house so if my microwave ever broke down for some reason I wouldnt have any food the only thing I would be able to eat is cereal and I would get sick of that pretty quickly so I really hope nothing happens to my microwave.

I'd have to say no. I've had a few microwaves in the past, but we always end up getting rid of them. If there is something we want heated we heat it in the oven or in a frying pan. Usually in the oven so there isn't any added oil. We both don't want the radiation that comes from a microwave. Honestly the only thing we ever used it for was to make microwave popcorn and heat up the odd cup of coffee!
