We don't have either. We get about four channels and to be honest I dont think or even feel like I am missing anything. If you do have one or the other do you think you could live without it.
And if I am not being too personal what does it cost in your area ?

We used to go to florida for about a month every summer and I fished pretty much the entire time. I even passed up a trip to Disney one year for fishing.

We have dish network. We have about 120 plus channels but I really don't watch that much on the TV. I could do without it but my daughter might be disappointed not to have her cartoon channels.
The one thing that I do like about it is that I have DVR which records the shows I can't watch. Sometimes I'll be halfway through a show and have to turn it off cause I either have to leave or I need to get in bed.
We pay about $55.00 a month.

When we lived up on the hill, we got 3 channels with an antanna but now that we live down in this hollow, we cannot get anything without satelite or cable. We have dishnetwork but we have the losest plan available and it is $19 a month. Still expensive but I like to watch CSI, The Unit, Numbers, NCIS and BYUTV. It it werent for those shows and BYUTV, I would not even have anything.

We have satellite t.v in our household . I am not sure how many channels we have but I know it is in the 100's for sure . We have had this for years so I would miss it and have a hard time adjusting to not having it anymore if we lost it .
It didn't cost us anything to buy as my husband used to work for the guys who did the satellite dishes and this was the way that they repaid him back was by giving him one for free instead of charging him .

We have cable adn to be honest it's not really worth it because there is nothing good on and I have been using the regular station instead of cable there is too many reality shows and its becoming boring there is no good shows or mives like it used to be my hubby likes it for sports channel. I can live without it and save money.

We have satallite (I think) and it's about $60 for 80something channels. We are switching this week (Friday to a different company because they have better rates. We will be getting 140 channels plus local channels with a DVR for $39.99 a month. At my house I grew up in we didn't have it and they still don't. It gets a little annoying knowing there are some really good shows on that I can't watch because we only have regular tv. I'm working on convincing them to get cable though. I think I could live without it but I wouldn't like it too much. I love all the options.

We have cable, but to be honest, I would get rid of it if it wasn't tied to my cable modem.
I get my cable (expanded basic and Starz) and my cable modem for a little less than $80 a month. without the cable television, since I ahve a package deal, my modem would be $60 a month, so I figure it's worth it.
My television is on almost constantly during the day, because we leave it on when we aren't home to keep the cat compnay (yees, she is spoiled.)

Yes I do. And it is worth it since the channels in Singapore are quite lousy. We are too small. Too few people to put up decent shows. Those shows that I stream from cable are way better.

I have cable and would not like to be without it. In Southern Arizona it costs about $40 a month for "expanded basic".

Hi there Impervious. We have satellite Tv, and hardly watch it, I sometimes wonder and ask myself why are we wasting money on satellite. We only watch for the sports mainly and national geo, depending what there showing. We can do without our tele anytime, I dont think it will be missed, thats what I think anyway, i dont know how my husband and children will feel lol

We have cable since it is more reliable than the satellite. We also get our high speed internet through the cable company. It is quite expensive though. For both the internet and the cable we pay $120 per month but we have a lot of channels to choose from. Not the Premium once like HBO and Cinemax though.
