Dull scissors? Use Aluminum foil to sharpen them!

This tip also works well for when you need to sharpen punches - regular office supply hole punchers, scrapbooking punches and that sort of thing. You only need to punch into a single layer to sharpen these, though. I wonder if those paper cutter things (the flat things with the blade that either slides down the sheet or had a handle your raise and lower to cut) can be sharpened using this method, too?

that is a great tip thanks. i have scissors and knives that i need to sharpen, so i am going to try this out when i get home. please post any more great tips like that if you have them

Thanks.It was just the other day that I was struggling with the pair of scissors I have.I guess I don't have to throw them out after all.They are pretty ancient.
