Don't Touch Me

I got this today in my email and thought I'd share it all with you. For those of us who suffer with chronic pain I think you'll not only appreciate it but sympathize. I know I did.
An elderly couple are both lying in bed one morning, having just awakened from a good night's sleep. He takes her hand and she responds, "Don't touch me".
"Why not", he asks.
She answers back, "Because I'm dead".
The husband says to her, "What are you talking about? We're both lying here in bed together and talking to one another".
The wife says, "No, I'm definitely dead."
Her husband insists, "You're not dead. What in the world makes you think you're dead?"
His wife answers, "I know I'm dead because I woke up this morning and nothing hurts!"

Lol that's a good one. that is the worst part of the day for me waking up. Like today it hurt me getting up out of bed. i had a lot of pain in my back I walked and that seemed to help me and I took a darvoset and I got to feeling alright.

My cycle of pain fluctuates with however the ovarian cyst is going to act that day or night. Usually I get an attack around 2-3 am and it lasts about 75 minutes maybe the full 90 if I don't stretch or meditate it away. When that treatment does not work, I reach for Aleve as much as I hate to. I am getting better though, only three or four times a month Aleve is reached for, otherwise i have reduced the level of pain intensity to no more than a 3.
It used to range from a flaring 10+ to about 8, now I tolerate only a 4max or less.

There are some mornings just getting out of bed is a struggle I know. I've had to get the pain pills out too then as well. I hate having to but if I don't I'm not able to do anything but whimper and I hate doing that more.

thanks pal I did laugh but I do know where he was coming from too , My pains aren't always bad in bed but wait till I get up lol , laughter is the best medicine of all though isn't it , When I feel a bit down I come into MY Lot and go through some of the joke discussions and it never fails to make me feel better ,
Have a nice day my friend xx

Well I hope it made you feel better :) I agree though laughter can really make things better. If nothing else at least for a few minutes.

I seem to be hitting all the funnies today..I've never laughed so hard today in front of my computer..and then I came across your gem...priceless!!! I know...It's almost a miracle not to wake up with some crek in the neck, bad back, allergy problems, sore ankles or joints....so I really got a laugh at this

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I know it is how I feel often too. If for some reason I'm lucky and not have one part hurt something else hurts twice as much. I know when I read it I laughed as well because it was so true.
