Update on my quest to quit smoking...

Well, I recently posted that I was going to quit smoking. I got a lot of good replies, even good spells to try. I have to admit, I have not taken anyone's advice. I have actually been smoking more. Everyone just said ' good luck, it bad for you.' But I had one person leave me a good spell, but you see, I just don't have the willpower to complete the spell, my addiction is too strong. See, I made my husband leave me with just 5 cigarettes the 10 hours he was gone for work, and I just couldn't hack it. I had to call my mother in law up to bring me some cigarettes, and as soon as I got them, I smoked 3 in a row, and not 30 minutes later 2 more. It seems as though I am smoking more since I've decided to quit. I just don't have magickal power, I will admit, to conquer my quest, I must find another way. If anyone has any sureproof ways to work , I will be grateful, even if it means i have to eat onions all day(for example). I really need a way out. See, I do not want to look old and wrinkly by the time I am 30. Can anyone help me find a cheap and surefire way to conquer my cigarrette habit?

I am a smoker but it is good to hear that you are willing to give up smoking, I gave up smoking once for a bet and I did not smoke for like 7 months! But then I started again and I have been smoking for the past eight years and I do not find quitting it difficult, I smoke because I WANT to and no other reason. So what helped me quit smoking for a while? Pills? nicotine straps? or spells or anything as such? The answer: Pure Will Power, remember that if really want to do something then you can do it no matter what. Everytime you want to feel like taking a smoke, say NO! to yourself and believe me it works. There is a saying that an idle mind is the devil's workshop so try to get involved into activities that can take your mind off smoking. I used to smoke 3-4 packets of ciggarettes a day, that is like 60-80 ciggs in a day! and now I smoke less than 10 ciggs a day. If I can do it, so can you! Don't lose hope and give it your best shot :)

Quit smoking cigs? Nahh...not yet, when you want to quit you will really quit. Its just wishful thinking for now, well at least the thought is there. I'd rather you don't consciously do it, it only strain you more to break that intention. I used to smoke before, like 4-5 packs a day but this was during my youths, more so if I'm drinkin, an easy pack or two will just be consumed in a blitz. Then i met wife & she got pregnant. Well the effect was, since i was on my own & i got the news that I'm having a family of my own & the truth is that it scares me how do i gonna make a living for my family? I don't have a stable job back then, i go out a lot with friends for booze & fun & what-else. Well, everything went on as usual but not until i saw my firstborn, that's when i realize that i am responsible for this family. For that innocent face that stares back at me, it expects a lot from me & from no one else, i have to do better with my life. That's when i decided somethings gotta stop, somethings gotta be renewed in me otherwise this is going nowhere & the future of this innocent face will be uncertain because i was just so punked. Then it happened, i decided, that in-order for me to give my family a fighting chance, i gotta come clean & straight in my thoughts, intentions, and practices. I decided i have to start on myself - stop boozing around, quit smoking, limit & choose friends - its a waste of money & time if i cant get a hold in all of these. Then as if like magic, i don't like smoking now, i hate drinking around, & it just annoys me to see people boozing around. Well its just a story, my story, it cant be perfect. I change not because i want to but because its necessary not for me for some people that i love & care about. That maybe would come as...what will be your story?

Its good and great to hear advices from people. Especially if we really wanted to have. But often times, they dont have the power to change anyone. Its always within us. Our willingness and our strong demand with our own self. Its hard to break a habit. But if you really want to change and you have goal, then, nothing is impossible. And most of all, you know how to stand the consequences and hardship that you will encounter day by day to stop smoking!

It is really difficult to quit smoking especially when it comes a vice. On my part, it took me sometime to stop smoking. There are times i would have to sip some menthol candy just to overcome that urge to smoke. At a young age, i used to smoke 5 in a span of 30 minutes. Then I tried to smoke with 2 in a day. Little by little, i was able to smoke once a day.

My bf also smoke a lot but i did was to have him a limit. For example, he regularly smokes 10 sticks a day (just an example), i will let him smoke 8 sticks for a week or so, then next is 5, until he reaches 1. Now, he's just smoking once a day, sometimes he doesn't smoke.

I think you just can't quit smoking even if you listen to many advices if you really don't have the will to stop. I mean, if you are really willing to stop that habby of yours, you can but if it's not just in you to stop it, you just can't do anything about that. If you wil be very more strong willed to stop it, you can make it.
