My average sleep time is 7 hours. If i sleep to much i would usually get a headache and i would feel quiet dizzy when i get up.
When you sleep for too long your body is tired, sleeping is like a sport though it gains weight.
Do you believe it does cause headaches if you sleep too much?
Do you are lazy if you sleep too much?

I sleep about 5 hours each night and then another five during the daytime hours. So i get about ten hours of sleep a day. it doesn't bother me and in fact if i didn't get that much i would be tired all day long. Some people just need more sleep than others.

Thats about how much I sleep too. And yes I think if we get too much sleep it tends to work in the opposite effect. If I dont get enough sleep and Im home I will take a short nap but not to long. Then when I awake I feel great. I think your right you can gain weight from sleeping too much. So dont!LOL

and i hate headaches! we try and get some more sleep because we want to give our body to relax. but when waking up, we get the opposite... furthermore, we feel lazy to get on with our day. perhaps, too much or less isn't really right.

Yeah, when I sleep too much I develop a romantic relationship with my bed and pillows and want to spend more time on bed.It makes me lazy as a cow and my days are dull when I finally manage to pull myself off from the bed.I prefer one 6-7hours uninterrupted slumber.

I have that same problem too. If I were to continue sleeping after the alarm goes off in the morning, I find that it is harder to wake up and I would feel even more sleepier than the previous time. And I if I were to sleep more than 10 hours, I would definitely get headache and become very lethargic as well.

as for my experience, this is so true. whenever i live longer than 8 hours, whenever i wake up, i feel like going back to bed for some more hours. then, when i wake up, i just don't feel like getting up at all. i wanna stay in bed for the whole day. but good that my stomach loves to take in food a lot of times a day. and when stomach calls, i can't say no but to get up and get something to eat.
there are times when i feel my head is really aching and that my body is on a higher temperature having fever. or maybe, it's just the subconscious mind making us feel more tired to stay in bed.
anyway, happy myLotting augusta!

Yes thats true...sleeping a half hour extra causes me a full body ache specially back ache and ahh..thats terrific,so me geting up on time is like a need no other opiton.
Infact because of that a day starting with a tremendous BACK ache is just equivalent to wasted ..!
So wastng the whole day only becasue you want to sleep more ...!!??
I cannot pay the price of the whole day fro just couple hours of careless sleep!!

I used to sleep for less than 7 hours. Then I increased my sleeping to about 8 hours and felt more rested. But if I sleep longer or much past 8 am, I usually feel lousy all day. If I over sleep, I don't get headaches. I often feel like I have a hangover all day long. Your sleeping habits will change as you get older. I don't ever feel like lying in bed all day. Although there have been days when I should have...lol.

I also get headache if i sleep too much during night ie more than 8 hours or sleep in the day time.usually i sleep for 6-7 hours & if feel like than take a nap of 15-30 min in afternoon if require.More sleep than this can lead to really laziness.

My average sleep is between 7 - 8 hours... If I sleep more than this time then all my schedules will get affected.. though I won't feel tired .. but I am late in all my daily routine and I curse myself for getting up late

I had this longest sleep in my entire womanhood, 23 hours straight, and when I woke up, it's like "earth to Mica, earth to Mica!" haha! I got this terrible headache, my throat was so dry and I've never felt so tired and lazy. I guess when you tend to sleep way beyond your average, there goes the headaches and the uneasiness and the general body malaise. So, five hours of sleep is enough for me to feel refreshed and energized the moment I wake up. =)

Hello, augustta,I also have same experience,I think i will be at my best condition if i sleep for 6 hours. As i know,a good sleeping cycle of a human begin is 4 hours, basically that mean if you are in that cycle, you will have a deep sleep and your body will be in a full rest.
If you sleep too much, your body will still be in a 'sleeping 'mode, that is why you still crave for more sleep,it is not good for health to sleep too much as if you sleep too much, it will become your habit and you will need more sleep then.

Firstly you dont gain weight through sleeping a recent study shows that you loose 31 calories every hour you sleep. Secondly a headache like feeling in your head can occur if you sleep for longer than you would normally sleep, i get that alot because i do sleep too much so that does make me in technical terms "a lazy bugger"

I usually get about 8 to 9 hours sleep, but then I'm getting older so my body takes a bit of time to recouperate each day, lol. I don't get headaches if I sleep longer, but I do find I take longer to wake up properly. I also find that the more sleep I get, the more I want, so if I gave in to myself, I'd never get up! Mind you, it's pretty hard to get a sleep in anyway with a 4yr old!

I usually sleep about six hours, circumstances allowing. I can't sleep much longer than that, I feel so much worse if i would sleep 10 hours. It makes me lazy, and like you said it gives me a headache.

Hi augustta it's just like if you won't use your vehicle for a long period though it is new as you won't get a need of it.When you got it's need if you try to start it won't get start easily. Our body also just like that only.If we give it more rest or more stress it won't tolerate and show some problems like dizzy and headache.
So it's common for all....
