If you ate three meals a day, do you think you'd really be skinny? (LOL) Just looking for people's feedback.

I don't know I seldom eat three meals a day. I'm lucky if I eat two meals a day to be honest. Yes I'm over weight but it doesn't seem to matter if I eat or not it doesn't change my weight in anyway. It is really aggravating at times. I've known some that can eat a ton and they never gain weight while others don't eat much and they are fat. I've seen some that eat junk food all day and are nice and thin but others that eat fruits and vegetables are fat. There is no telling at times. Yes food and activity makes a difference but not always.

I think I'll scream as well. Just not seem fair at all. Of course for some karma does win out. My brothers as teenagers would grab a couple of sandwiches for snacks and they were rail thin but after they hit thirty they started to gain weight. It caught up with them eventually.

You know, my siblings including my sis were skinny when they were kids, and actually, I think I am fortunate, because even though I was a big girl in school, and have my own weight to lose, they are bigger than I am, and there were six siblings, so I guess it isn't that bad, really. two of my brothers exercise like mad, just because they are embarrassed to be bigger than their sis now. (haha!) but, I still feel fat. lol! I think they eat too much personally. I haven't really changed much from HS, I just exercise more. (this was my reality check!)

I'd like an explanation one day from my higher power about that one! If they say "metabolism" I will scream.

Your food habits make you fat.If you are overweight and want to reduce it, stop sugar, eat 50% of lunch and dinner you will see dramatic results. The above advice is free and have no copyright. Happy reduction!!!!!

... actually, I do have a medical problem. (LOL) however, it is curable. COPD, is a disorder where one of the symptoms is weight gain, you grow a few chin hairs, and you start to lose the hair on top of your head, caused by cysts on your ovaries which effects approximately 5-10% of the population. however, if a doctor prescribes progesterone to you, it is curable. the sad thing is, is that you are more likely than normal to have Diabetes 2, High Blood Pressure, and something else I can't remember. Sorry I didn't mention that! I try to forget sometimes.

that would depend on what you ate and how much you ate... Does Eating Fat Make You Fat? (2:16) Does Eating Fat Make You Fat? I've been hearing a lot about "healthy" fats lately. This sounds weird to me - aren't all fats bad for you? ... www.findingbalance.tv/videoserver/video.php?clip=FBA1421 http://www.findingbalance.tv/videoserver/video.php?clip=FBA1421

I eat more than three meals a day but I am still skinny,in fact, I am underweight. It has been like this since I was young. It could be that my metabilism rate is high. I lose weight more easily than putting on, as in when I fall sick and have no appetite for eating.

I have heard that eating constantly does increase the metabolic rate. My husband seems to have a meter in him or something, where he can tell if he needs to exercise. LOL! and then he rides around on his bike for several miles, and ends up dropping the weight.I have also talked with thin women who seem to read everything on the back of packages, and one lady even told me, unless it had less than 4 grams of fat, it wasn't going into her mouth. She doesn't eat regular meals either, and stays away from the fatty ones.

if you eat just the right amount of food then you wont get fat. but if you eat too much and dont do exercise or anything that burns what you have eaten then you'll certainly get fat. but i also know some people who always eat whatever they want whenever they like and not gain a single pound. i envy this kind of people cause i love to eat but i always have to watch what gets into my mouth so i wont gain alot of weight. sigh!

yes, I am one of those people who cannot have mayo in the house, cooking oil, unless it is a low calorie spray alternative such as pam, or store brand, ABSOLUTELY NO ICECREAM, etc, etc, etc... I just recently bought a treadmill too. that way, if I skip the gym, I can't avoid the treadmill. I think I am loosing it!

erm.. yes.. i do think eating will make me fat.. eventhough i always exercise.. i don't seem to be fit.. maybe it's because i eat too much? erm.. impossible.. because the amount of food i consume daily.. is too average for a teenage guy... i eat 3 meals a day.. and maybe supper at night.. haha.. and i don't think it's really fattening if you do your exercise... i have friend that eat much more than me.. but he's more thin compared to me.. do you believe that? different body actually produce different fats.. and .. erm.. speechless :)

LOL! well, it is definitely genetics, metabolism, sometimes environment. and of course, how much you exercise. I married a really skinny guy he consumes a pot of coffee with a great deal of sugar, and eats dinner, that is it. and when he eats, he EATS! twice a week I take him to the buffet, where he can eat anything he wants, and he is definitely a junk food addict. pizza, french fries, chicken, steak, whatever- and absolutely no vegetables. (I am a big fan of broccoli) but I have noticed he gets soooo full at dinner, that cookies, cake, etc are usually out of the question, yet, I might have a couple of cookies, or a piece of cake. nothing major. could be the processed breads I think that add to weight gain, I dunno. (LOL)

When I was young, we always ate 3 times a day. We always had rice with our meals. I was never looking chubby back then. Now that I'm older I have toast for breakfast, fruits for lunch and a proper meal at night and look at me now, I'm chubbier than ever! lol I've started jogging now so hopefully the weight should subside. :o)

Yes, if you eat more than your usual consumption. The key is to eat in moderation, plus exercise. In addition, avoid fats, sweets, carbohydrates... Choose the food that you eat, more on fresh fruits and vegetables, etc. These are sure ways of maintaining your figure.
