This should be a very good series. According to the experts, the Wings have been pegged as the underdog in this series, in spite of the Wings being the 1st seed and the Sharks the 5th seed.
The Sharks had the Wings number in the regular season, but we all know that the regular season means nothing once the playoffs begin.
Any predictions? Game comments?

The series is tied 1-1. San Jose shut out the Wings 2-0 in Game 1 on two quick goals. Game 2 began the same way with San Jose getting on the board early and adding a second soon after, however they could not hold on to the lead. Zetterberg scored at the end of the first to bring the Wings to within 1. Dan Cleary scored early in the second to tie the game. Datsyuk gave the Wings the lead with less than two minutes remaining in regulation.
The Wings MUST steal one of the next two games in San Jose.

I want The Red Wings to win but The Sharks are good at stopping that first pass the Red Wings use to enter the offensive zone. And they will block any shot from anyone at anytime. This will be hard for The Red Wings but if they beat San Jose, they will win the west. Thanks for posting the schedule! Go Wings!

We've got Wings fans...
and now... SHARKS fans!!!
This should be a great series... two teams who are of the elite in the NHL right now, and it would bode to be a great series. I think the key might be the size. The Sharks destroyed the Predators down low when they were able to get them down there. With smaller defenders, the Sharks are going to try and do more of the same. Guys like Thornton, Guerin, Michalek, etc.
With the Red Wings, they aren't going to shoot themselves in the foot like the Preds did. They are going to play great special teams and they did an excellent job in killing the penalties in the Calgary series.
Two keys: goaltending. Who will prevail? Hasek or Nabokov? Both played solidly in the first round, but the goalie who "steals" it might lead their team forward. second: special teams. Whoever wins the special teams battle will control this series...
oh, and as a fan: Sharks in 6. ;-)
we've got about 15 minutes til' opening faceoff...
