Email Hoaxes

Why oh why do people still forward on obvious hoax emails? Your lipstick, deoderant, tampon or whatever is not causing you cancer. A man probably will not flatten your tire and follow you home. There is no sick kid out there who really needs 50,000 business cards. Why do people insist on forwarding these? I have been online since bulletin boards and have seen these same emails at least 10 times each. If you have the internet at your disposal wouldn't you think of checking the information out before warning all of your inbox of the neat cookie recipie? I can't say anything because then my friends will either be embarrassed or will say "well it's better to be safe." Is there a nice way to give people a clue? (By the way if you forward this message on to 372 people Bill Gates will buy you a new computer!)

It's worse when you keep getting the same ones from the same person, over and over and over again. I don't even open the anymore. I used to check urban legend sites and send it back to the sender with the link, but I still get them. BTW, did you know coke takes rust off? LOL I don't think I have 372 people in my address book, too bad, I could have used a new computer. ROTF

LOL, I have a doorbell but it doesn't work. Does the dog barking count as a doorbell? Thanks for best response!

Do you want to know why I think people send these on?? Cos they are so worried that people may forget them. they love the attention but have nothing of importance to say so they think if they send on these emails then we will open our inbox and think fondly of them. But the truth is we have all got to the point were we can spot a load of rubbish in an email without even opening it. Lol.

I finally learned that all you have to do, rather than get upset and send out ugly replies like an old friend of mine used to do, is to go to Snopes.com and look it up. They are current on all the latest scams and will put your mind at rest. Now that was easy! Oh, and don't sweat the small stuff!

I can look on Snopes. I just want them to look there too! It hurts my brain when I see those in me inbox. I usually just delete them now. But when my friend wants to know if I got her email then I can't shut up! Oh well what can you do? There's a sucker born every minute.
