I was born at Leyte but grew up in Davao where i also had my studies. Then more than 10 years ago, my parents returned to the land of our births here. Since then, I had been coming here regularly and now am staying here for a longer period. Visayas is a great place. Though we are divided into so many island, transportation is not that a problem (except if there is a typhoon). We have so many beatiful beaches and tourist spots. Well, Boracay belongs to the Visayas islands (huh? a lot of people don't know this).
If you live in the Visayas region, pklease tell something about your place and yourself. Proud Bisaya jud! By the way, I am not Waray as we are not near Tacloban -- our cultural influence is Cebu.

before coming to davao we were living at Cotabato City where i studied my elementary and high school. when the "war" between the muslims and christians erupted in late '70s we moved to davao and stayed here for good.
i speak the visayan and ilocano dialects. davao is well-known of its highest mountain peak in the philippines, the mt. apo and the monkey-eating eagle.
davao is regularly visited by tourists because of the island garden city of samal (IGACOS) known for its white sand beaches. but most of all, davao is famous of its durian, the king of the fruits and the waling waling exotic flower
