How do you make an animated avatar?

I noticed a lot of you have these neat animated avatars and I was wondering how you made them. My avatar is just a photo of me, but it would be cool to add a twinkly to my eye or something, no? Any tips?

I really wish I could do this! I would have an avatar of my the same character, with this photo and then one where she's doing her "electric wave" thing. I'm sure I could find a shot like what I wanted, but I wouldn't know how to put them together. Of course, having an avatar that shows two entirely different photos might be harder than an eye twinkly. I'm glad you found someone to help you with yours!

There are many animated avatars you can choose from. I got mine from: www.gdpit.com

Well you can use an animated picture usually their extension name is .gif. If you want to add a twinkle in your eye, you need to download a program to animate your photo. There are several free softwares in the net. Good luck in you twinkling eye!
