What will become of JK Rowling after Harry Potter?

As we all know Harry potter series will end with the release of last book "Harry potter and the deathly Hallows", my question is what will become of JK Rowling after Harry Potter series has ended? Will she be able to create another such universally successful book? or will she fade away with time?Several websites have labeled her a master story teller, i would not write her off as a fader just yet!

LOL yes she is a rich lady already! :) but her books are 'richer' than her if you know what i mean.....i think as long as the Harry Potter series is alive in people's imagination she will be there too!...she is ofcourse a fantastic writer so maybe she will continue writting and if her books will be in the same leauge as Harry Potter or not only time will tell

Nothing will happen to her. Nothing that will not happen to everyone else. The thing that is different is that she is already way way rich. Let's not worry about people who don't need worrying.
We have many, many more books around than Harry Potter. :P

As always dear wizzy you are absolutely right!! i totally overlooked the fact that Rowling is way way rich as it is!!
I wonder if she is willing to share some of her riches? she is still single right?? :)

Nah, she is definitely married. A husband and an adopted/step daughter who is an aspiring writer. I am not sure on the specifics since I am not exactly her fan. I just like Harry Potter and Hogwarts, and it is not exactly the same thing. :P

I hope that she uses her talents to create a new series of books. I have so thoroughly enjoyed the books in the Harry Potter series that I have read several of them twice. I cannot wait for the seventh book in the series to come out. It would be a real shame if she did not continue to write. She is such a good author.

I'm not sure...I was wondering the same thimg myself. My guess is that she's going to write another book, but it won't be as good as Harry Potter. I think it would be hard to even come close! But she is an amazing author so I'm sure whatever she chooses to write will be amazing! If she chooses to write again..she could definitely retire after all the money she's made off of Harry Potter!

I've thought about this many times. The lady is rich, and she'll never have to write another book again. I'm not all that sure that the popularity of Harry Potter can ever be repeated, by her or anyone else. So I don't think she'll fade, but honestly don't believe her next books will be near as popular.

i don't think she'll ever fade... How come a great writer fade? I think when a person write a story of something and it inspires many people they will not fade... They would stay on every persons heart forever

I don't she will ever fade. Just look at the famous writers from a century ago - they're still very famous - Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte to name but a few. Not to mention JRR TOlkien, though it's not that old, his books seem to be even more popular than ever now after the film. Harry Potter is like THE book of the last decade and it will always stay around, it's a timeless classic which will live on!!!
Also i really hope JK writes some new stories. She's too good a writer to just give up and i'm sure there's many more ideas she has!!
