We are thinking about selling our time share. We have had many people call us on the phone offering to sell it for us, but they charge an upfront fee of $499! They say it is guarenteed to sell in 180 days or money back guarentee. I am very leary of this. How do I know if I will be able to get my money back if it doesnt' sell, even if I have it in writing, this company is in Florida and I am in NY. Has anyone had experience in selling Timeshares? Can you give me any advice on how to advertise mine without the huge fee, or are these companies legit?

Were you able to sell your Time share? I too am looking to sell my Time Share. joepgjm@netzero.com. I was just wondering what the status of yours was and where it was located.

I found a company through the forums of www.resaleripoffs.com a company that does not charge an upfront fee to sell your timeshare. I am contacting the folks at www.vacationtrader.org first thing tomorrow.

Hey, thanks for the information. I have mine rented out for next year, but I am definitely going to check into this site. Mine is located in Orlando. No luck selling it, but I never have trouble renting it out. I would rather just get rid of it and not have the hassel.

So far I have found the best company to sell your timeshare through is timesharehotlist.com they charge an upfront fee but they have a guarantee that if you are able to sell your timeshare through someone else first they will give you your money back! They also work through the convention centers, visitors bureaus and travel agents to make sure listings get sold or rented. Good luck!
