I keep it in the ashtray in my car. I'll use it if we're in a drive thru or coffee stand to make correct change or to tip the barista.

I put all my change in my piggy bank and deposit it about every two months into a special account. I do different things with that account. Sometimes I buy something for me or someone else, sometimes I write a check to a charity, sometimes I use it to pay an unexpected bill, (but only if I have to)! It's nice to have a special account I can do what I want with.

In the U.S I keep it in my pocket because there are always buskers so it goes there. In the U.K I put it in a jar, when it reaches a respectable amount I go and treat all the kids to something to make them smile. I THINK OF SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL, LIKE A DAY OUT WITH POCKET MONEY FOR THEM AND A MEAL OUTSIDE. a REAL TREAT.

I don't do anything too exciting with my spare change. I seldom use it when paying for things so when it accumulates I divide it out. All my pennies go in a large container, nickels go in a smaller one. I keep dimes and quarters together. The dimes usually get spent on an extra treat like a cup of French Vanilla cappuccino once I have enough...$2.19 for a large. I keep the state quarters to fill out the collection. The older quarters I trade in for dollars to give to the kids for spending money, unless they need quarters for what they're doing.

We have two small children 4 and almost 1 and we know that we are not going to be able to help out much for college. So everyday when my husband gets home he hands whatever change is in his pocket and hands it to our 4 yr old(she get very excited) she then runs upstairs and put them into two piggy banks. We also take all of our bottles back and put that into there piggy banks as well... I think we get close to 150 a year doing that...not a lot, but any little bit will help.

I throw my change in my purse. I make it a point of having some change in my purse so that when I get home I clean the change out of my purse and put it into the bank that I have at home. Than when the bank is full I take it and put it into my savings account.

I throw it in the botton of my purse and when I clean my purse out I give the change to my kids. Everything has to be even down to the penny =) Ever since my daughter was born I have given her my change.

I collect all my small change when I get home and place it in a box, not a piggy bank, as I had out grown it. I take it as a form of saving, when the box is filled up, I will then do an exchange, that is I will take the small change to the bank and deposit into my saving account, the small change can come up to hundreds of dollars.

i use coins when i comut for bus or jeepney, to buy a candy or to add up to a bill to a lunch or whatever/whenever it is needed. its really useful actually. always bring some extra pennies or coins, in your handbag or pocket you might need it someday.
