Saying things that you do not think about. Lets say your just getting out of church and you have an idea to have a cook out the following weekend. So you invite a couple families to come over. Then the next day you get to thinking about the people you did not invite. You think to yourself well they will get offended if I do not invite them. So you end up with over 50 people at your house for the cookout. During the week you clean the house from top to bottom and buy steaks instead of hot dogs to impress your quest. By the time the cook out rolls around you no longer want to have it. Your stressed out and tired and can't wait for those people to leave. Have you ever been through anything like this? Tell us your story.

No, I have never done something like that. As I invite people over for enjoyment. I do not invite people to impress them. I invite people who I want to socialize with at the time.

Well it didn't start out to impress people what that is the way it ended up. This is a situation my friend found herself in.

I had something like this happen a few years back but I wasnt the one doing the inviting. We had decided to have a cookout for my husabnds father and just have his children about 10 people in all and we were fine with that,so that is what we planned for well as the night before arrived we got a call from my sister-in-law who informed us that about 15 more people were coming turns out she told so and so and they told so and so. In the end we ended up with about 30 people whom I had not planned on entertaining. it was a house full thank god it was great weather and most were outside the whole time. but needless to say we had people running in and out all day and I never got to enjoy the day due to keeping everything going and cleaning up and it was all due to someone with loose mouth lol.

I am one of those fortunate people who can't entertain and never invite anyone over. When people do come and visit, I completely forget to offer something to drink. I like people visiting but won't invite for something like a cook out, I am too lazy.LOL
