would you rather drive your car or would you want to commute?

Traffic is heavy and would take you 2 hours in going from point A to point B that supposedly would only take you 30 to 45 mins. we always experience traffic congestion, specially at 7am to 10 am, then again at 4pm to 8pm when I need to be in another place in those times. There were times when i'd wish i did not bring a car, and just have commuted.

If I had to work in the city I would definently I would try to find someone to ride in with and split the cost of gas. I hate driving in the city. I guess if I did it everyday I might get used to it but I don't know. I don't do good when I am driving in real busy area. I get to tense.

yes, with the rising gas prices, it's a more practical way of doing it

i remember a friend who lives now in the US. she says that when it's busy on the main streets there, it's really annoying. she even said that it's better to take the bus sometimes than be the one driving. and i believe her. since now, she commutes, too rather than drive on a busy highway.

i don't have a car and i am not sad that i don't have one. but if ever i have my own car, i will commute at times, too especially during busy hours. will save me gas and will not add much stress on me since i am not the one on the driver seat. happy myLotting!

It would really depend on where I'm going, what I'm going to do when I get there and who I'm with. I mean if it's regular thing like going to school or going to work, I'd really rather commute, the only disadvantage is you have to leave earlier than usual if you don't want to be late, but the advantages out weigh it, no parking fees or long lines to enter the parking area or you can't find a parking space, you can't get caught in traffic, you can ride the mrt or lrt 1 or 2 almost every place is reachable thru those commuter trains here in pinas, so it's really more convenient to simply be a commuter. But if I will go malling, specially with children in tow, I'd really rather we bring a car, it would save the hassle for the children, save me a lot of effort of looking for a cab or riding the jeepney with tired children and also if I'm doing some grocery shopping, I don't want to carry heavy grocery bags commuting, it's hard ei. And also if I'm going to a celebration I'd really rather bring a car, the convenience of not having to look for a ride specially if it gets late. There are advantages and disadvantages to having or bringing a car. Advantage: you don't have to sit beside a smelly ogre in the public transport, you don't have to fend of guys who tried to take advantage of the crowded bus/train. You don't have to wait in line to ride or wait for the ride to come. Disadvantage: Parking - sometimes the fees are exhuberant, or you can't find a decent parking space and you spend 15 mins ++ going around the parking lot. and gasoline these days cost a fortune, Php500 worth of gas only amount to a little over 10 liters. Well I guess that's life here in Pinas, if it's not the traffic of commute, it's the cost of the gasoline to ride your car ^_^

Living in the provinces does beats that problem, but its not that were not without our share of the same only its seldom the case. For short distance travel i just commute especially if i would be doing more of a strolling than really doing a travel that way it would be far convenient for me to move around without retracing my way back. Also saves me on gas.

for me i would rather use my bike than use a car or commute. with traffic so bad,it would take so much time on the road due to traffic.
