Is laughter important to you? If so, how has it played a role in your life thus far? As I grow older I begin to learn that life can be extremeley difficult at times. Most of us are faced with times of sandess, grief, solitude and tribulation. I believe that everybody should find a reason to laugh when ever they can, especially in times of adversity. I'm aware that the last thing most of us feel like doing is giggling when something tragic has occurred. However, we need laughter, especially when the outlook is bleak. When I feel depressed I go to Blockbuster and rent two or three comedy movies. In other words, I purposely look for a reason to laugh, knowing I will feel better if I do. I think through humor we can heal ourselves. Too many of us feel guilty for laughing after a bereavement, for example. I have never really understood that. After my grandmother died I made a point of remembering funny things she said and did with the sole purpose of making the family laugh at her Wake. Laughing at the joy my grandmother gave us during her life was my way of showing how much I loved and respected her. I know that she would want me to remember her and laugh as opposed to crying.

I feel deeply sorry for your loss. God bless. Although such type of condition is hard to fulfil, as who would want to be laughed at after they are at peace. I think a heartfelt smile is perhaps the best way to honor the remembrance. I read this proverb somewhere but can't remember who said it, anyways here goes; "A day without a laugh, is a day wasted."

laughter is incredibly important in my life, the lives of my whole family and most of my friends. it is good for your health to laugh... it's probably the most important thing you can do for someone , to give them a good, pure, honest laugh!!
