To all my friends here, because I know otherwise you will be concerned.................... this is to let you know I won't be around for the next few days. I was supposed to be going on holiday tomorrow. This has been cancelled/postponed because of Lily's problems, but the Vets have told us we cannot visit her over the weekend anyway, because the Hospital is shut to visitors( not enough staff), so as it's my birthday, my beloved is taking me away for a long weekend to Portugal. They tell me Lily is too sedated to know what's happening anyway (she sleeps 99% of the time!), and we are always only a phone call and a couple of hours away.
So I am sorry I won't be able to answer your discussions for the next few days. I know they do have Internet access in the Hotel, but can't promise I will spend much time on the Net - maybe just once to check emails. I do feel a bit guilty, but the Vets assure me she won't know, and my partner tells me I look ill and need a break! So I will catch up with you on my return.

Rosie my friend that is wonderful, switch off for the weekend, I know you will have Lily on your mind but she wouldn't want you staying at home, she would want her mum to have some fun, she knows you love her and as you said she will be out of it anyhow so it wouldn't make any difference to her. ENJOY yourself you really really deserve it, as for the internet whilst you're away, give it a break, as much as we'd love to see you around give yourself a rest, when you are in a beautiful country you don't want to be tied behind a computer screen! I went on my retreat and didn't touch a computer for nearly a week. Have a smashing time and I'll expect a report when you get back. Here's a big hug and have fun and have a great birthday my friend xxx

Hi rosie, there's nothing to feel guilty about. After what you went through with Lily, you certainly need to take a break. Try to enjoy yourself and forget about mylot for a while. We all need to take some deep breathes once in a while. I might be following you too. Its getting harder and harder for me lately to stick to mylot. I think I'm really losing my touch here. At least not like before where I was totally hooked here. Bon voyage and enjoy!!!

Happy weekend. And I hope that Lily will be alright by the time you come back. Portugal is supposed to be a good place to cool off your nerves:) Have a happy time there. I don't think there is any need to feel guilty, because Lily is sedated and the hospital is closed, and it does not make any difference if you just stay at home and fret about her. If she could communicate with you somehow, I am sure that she would side with your partner and suggest a good weekend for you.
