Anyone here hear of any misdiagnoses attributed to Asthma, or anyone misdiagnosed themselves? I was, on April Fools Day, no less... I should have seen that coming :/

My mother was diagnosed with asthma in her 40s when she started having trouble breathing when walking up stairs. It was not surprising to heer since I have asthma that was diagnosed when I was 3 years old. Her brother also had asthma as a child, but has not had symptoms in years. She later had a hysterectomy. During the procedure, they discovered that she had endometriosis- severe case. Her small intestine was adhered to her diaphragm by all the scar tissue which they removed. After she healed from surgery, no more symptoms of asthma. Her breathing problems were caused by the immobility of the diaphragm.
