This is one of those recipes that is filled with wonderful flavors Each flavor enhances the other flavors for wonderful taste.. This recipe is so good for those summer road trips or family get together picnics. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone but I like to make this one just for me. LOL It is so good. It seems that women love this bread just to munch on. It adds a new twist to a traditional banana bread. The orange peel , coconut and pineapple adds that beach feeling to the recipe. Your family will love it. This recipe only makes one loaf but you will want to make a couple at a time once you taste the flavor of it. This is a great recipe to make and have on hand for when the kids or spouse get home and dinner is not quite ready. You know, the times when they are just starved to death. LOL Enjoy and share it with your neighbors. I also make a similar recipe in my bread machine. It is wonderful too. Hawaiian Quick Bread 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium size bananas) 1/4 cup milk 1 tablespoon grated orange peel 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon almond extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup flaked coconut 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1/2 cup crushed pineapple In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in banana, milk, orange peel and vanilla & almond extracts. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to the creamed mixture just until moistened. Fold in the coconut, nuts and pineapple. Transfer to a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for about 1 hour and 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for about 10 minutes. Then remove from pan onto a wire rack. Enjoy!

Oh no! another amazing recipe that I am dying to try but will add a few punds to what I already have to lose.. I am suffering here villageanne.lol. You were so correct to say that it will be hard to lose weight with all cookouts, picnics and other stuff going on..But with your recipes I am finding it harder here at mylot..lol.. they sound so yummy and good it has my mouth watering and pictures of little hawaiian breads dancing through my head tempting me to go make it this instant..*sighs*. I am getting quite a collection of your recipes now and love every one of them.. I think I will make this bread and I will slice a thin slice and eat it so it will be an inspiration for me to lose weight so I can eat more..lol althought sad part is that I'd have to give it instantly away or I would fall on it like a starved crazy person..lol. Thanks for posting all these treat although they do mess with my will power quite alot.. I love them..

Oh I use to get Hawaiian quick bread at the grocery store where I worked. I got a discount or I would not have been able to buy it very often as it is very expensive. I just love it! Again Thank you!

Wow, this sounds scrumptious. I'm sure my roommate is gonna love this one, as will I because it has some of my favorite ingredients....bananas, pineapple, coconut, and nuts. Not sure when she will get to any of these recent recipes you have posted but I will give you the results by PM once we have tried them. Thanks once more. +

I probably wouldn't make this one, but it sounds good. My family are not big coconut eaters.

This sounds wonderful. :) Unfortunately I'm allergic to coconut and nuts so I won't be able to have it. I'm looking forward to more of your wonderful recipes though!
