Today a judge ruled against Anna Nichole Smith's mom, who was trying to prevent Larry Birkhead from taking his daughter out of the Bahamas. She feared he wouldn't return for a custody hearing.
Do you think she has valid reasons for getting custody of her granddaughter?
I don't. Larry is the father and he has been denied his daughter for long enough. I feel sorry for the baby, who seems to be a pawn in a tug-o-war over Anna's potential settlement over the estate of her ex (as in EXtremely old former husband)

I don't feel sorry for the grandma. I bet that Anna Nicole wasn't all on her own for not liking her, but I think it was a bad relationship for years. I could see her wanting some sort of relationship with the baby, as any grandmother would want, but she has a father, and he has every right to have her to raise himself. I'm happy that it's turning out right for them. I hope he's able to raise her out of the media spotlight. He seems like the type of guy who isn't in it for the money or attention, he's just a guy who wants his little girl.
