Is it good for kids to play games at playstation ?

I do think that is too long of a time period for a child to be playing at a playstation. Recent studies say that children who do play with computer games have a better reaction speed than those who don't. As with anything, especially when it involves children, carefull monitoring of it should be done. I don't have young children around, but if I did I would be very, very selective about what they with. Not just reading the ratings on the games, but actually being with the child as they play them.

I think if they are playing educational games it can be good as long as it's not overused. Learning to play these games can teach kids good hand eye coordination. But I think them playing for 3 hours straight is bit excessive. When my daughter starts playing games I will start out with a 30 minute limit.
