Last night when i was returning home, i saw a guy who was wearing his sun glasses. I immediately laughed out. It was really looking funny for me to see him wearing SUN GLASS in the night time. The name itself defines that it is a SUN GLASS. I dont really know whether he has some eye problem or so, but i was wondering how come people wear such glasses in the night time. Do they feel really comfortable?
Well, first of all i dont wear sun glasses. Only on rare occasion i wear it, that too if i am driving. Else i dont prefer wearing(because my beauty lies in my eyes ;P). In the night time if i wear sunglasses then i wont be able to see properly because everything will look dark!
So how about you? DO you have the habit of wearing sun glasses? Do you wear it in the night time too? Have you seen anyone wearing it in the night time, how did you react?

Hello, mdchennai. I will wear sunglass at the day time when the sunlight is strong as the uv light in australia is strong. I will not wear sunglasses at the night time as there is no need to do so,people do this because sunglasses make them look smarter, when i see them, i will not laugh at them as it is their choices and i will respect them.

hi, easy, i wear sunglasses, too, during daytime. for the reasons same as you have pointed out. it is so hot and extremely sunny in the philippines and the doctors have endorsed the use of sunglasses to protect the eyes from faster degradation due to the uv rays.

I too respect their choice easy but it looks funny. Once i wore sunglasses in the night time and as i was walking, i was slipping all the way because i dint have a clear sight due to the glass. From that day i stopped wearing it in the night time ;P

You are right, everyone have their own way of thinking and style. If they fell comfortable with something, then they dont bother of what others think!

Might that guy be a celebrity in disguise? Celebrities love to do that when they go out. Sunglasses, hats, coat... just so they won't be recognized.
Another possibility off the cuff would be that the guy is having sore eyes! Has that occurred to you? :P

NO, he is not a celebrity. May be that he has some problem in his eyes, but even then i think that it wont be that case!

Haha, no I don't wear them I night. I barely wear them when it's sunny outside unless I am at the beach or I am driving and the sun is getting my eyes. Why would anyone wear them at night? Was he bumping into things? LOL
Maybe he had a black eye and was trying to hide it.

just like you i use sun glasses occasionaly, coz it irritates me. i can understand if somebody wears a sunglasses at night time, maybe he have some eye problems. but for some they wear it in the evening for fashion or show off their sunglasses, if it's costly :)

Ya may be. There are some people, who wear sun glasses just for the sake to show others that they have bought a new or a costlier one!

i don't wear sunglasses at all. I always had bad eye sight and I just didn't like them. I think many people wear the sunglasses just for style.

I think its silly too. But some people might have something wrong with their eyes and the lights might hurt their eyes. But thats really very rare. I think its just a big fad going on. I did just the other night to see how many people would look at me. I went to walmart for something and I wore my sunglasses the whole time I was in there. And I was suprised not to many people looked at me.heheheheh

hello, mdchennai, aside from the blind and those with differences in their eyes (they wear their sunglasses all the time becuase they don't want others to see the ugliness of the eyes area), there are people who wear sunglasses even in the evening because, they cannot take the glare even those which come from bulbs. they know that some persons might laugh seeing them that way but, they just don't mind anymore. they know that those who laugh at them do not have the slightest idea regarding the reason behind it.

I agree to your point. People wear sun glasses for various reasons. We dont know exactly for what reason they are wearing and they are not much bothered of our thoughts too. But few wear it because they look more smarter with that on!

I will laugh if i get to see someone wearing sun glassess in night.I wear it when iam driving two wheeler in a sunny day when the direct sunrays falls in our eyes. Its safe to protect our vision.
Once i happen to see a guy wearing sun glassess in a marriage function.I went there with my group of friends and we cant help just laughed at him but we didnt pass any comments at him.Realising the situation, he immediately removed the glass and we never find him till we moved from that function.

LOL, that is really funny! Actually people wear it just because it looks good to them, but they forget that it will look funny if they wear it in the night time. Well, i am sure, that guy wouldnt have ever dared it to wear sunglasses later during the night time :)

I don't like much to wear sun glasses. I hardly remember to wear them.. I am having at least 5 - 6 sunglasses with me but I used to wear them very rare. I am sure that guy who was wearing sun glasses at night might be looking very funny.. and it must be hard for you to hide your smile while looking at him :)

LOL! Actually i saw him from long distance. But many guys like me would have surely seen him and would have passed some comment. I think he was going some where out, but even then walking on the road with sun glasses on, sounds strange!

I fins this trend hilarious. I almost never wear sunglasses, since I wear prescription glasses, and don't yet have prescription sunglasses. I was irritated to find out that there are transition lenses that turn purple, cause I would have bought those, I love purple! But the concept of "stunner shades" or sunglasses making people look cool can actually be kind of campy. My friends see this guy in town who always wears sunglasses, and has an interesting exaggerated swagger. They call him "the cool guy". But would you like to be "the cool guy"? I wouldn't!

I think that is so silly too!! Or when you are walking around the mall and some guy still has his sun glasses on, like it is SO bright inside the stores =) People are so silly, I wonder if they think they look cool....I would love to tell them how goofy they reaal look!!

For several years I have been wearing the yellowish tinted anti glare sun glasses for night driving. They really cut the glare of head lights without reducing my abuility to see, or not much anyhow. I am a causious driver, and generally drive slower at night too.
Another possiblility is he is a normal sun glass wearer and simply didn't notice the change into night time, if it came gradually that could happen.

At the risk of "dating" myself, I can remember a time when it was the cool thing to do. Everyone who considered themselves stylish wore their shades at night as well as during the day. It was just a fashion statement. I hardly ever wear sun glasses anymore because my eyesight is not as sharp as it used to be, but my lenses are tinted pink.

Unfortunately, a lot of people care more on style than sense. I have a similar experience when a classmate of mine wore his sunglasses once when we hung-out. Another time I saw a girl wearing visor caps inside the mall, at night.

Before I was married I was unlucky enough to date what my mother would describe as "a good looking no-good" and what I would describe as the superficial poser type. He was training to be a psychiatrist but if you ask me he needed help himself. He was also a musician. One day I saw him wearing sunglasses in the night-time and felt glad that things had ended between he and I when they did. The sun-glasses in the night-time just about summed him up, I thought.
