Read in the Reader's Digest magazine. To revive a dead car battery in an emergency add a couple of aspirin in the battery itself to charge it one more time and this may help you get to the closest service station.

That's interesting, I've never heard of that before. I subscribe to the Canadian Reader's Digest, and I love the little tips and tricks they give. When I am in the States, I buy the American ones at the supermarket. I like the little differences between the two countries publications/

wow, I would have never thought of putting aspirins in my roadside emergency kit... lol, what a great tip if ever it should be needed! I keep one of those battery charging devices to jumpstart the car yourself, in my trunk area - it has come in handy more than once.

I dout this will work plus it may damage the battery if you charge it afterwards. But I will try it once to test it, who knows. For an interesting article about this subject, please go here: flatratetech. com Regards Pedro Talavera.

Wow...... thats a very useful tip. I am sure I would do that very soon. We have a couple of cars in the household and we do not use all the cars....... and at times a car is like........ not started for almost more than 2 weeks and then we get the starting problems. I think one of the car is having that problem right now. Tomorrow I have a day off........ and I sure would try this and see if it really helps. Thanks a lot VotreAmie....... its great when we share such tips to help each other...... you are getting a big "+" for this one...... :)
