making bank space...

i really hate it when i am getting low on bank space, and yes i am a member, with all that extended bank space lol. i have kept many things that have come from member quests, whether they are weapons like the wolfbane dagger, or little nick nacks like the "trinket" from mournings end part 2. there is no real guide as to what "might" be needed again, and so i keep them all just in case. so when i need bank space (yet again) i do a few things, and i was hoping that by telling you all here at mylot, that you might benefit from this :) 1. sort out all herbs. i collect up loads of herbs and just leave them sitting in my bank (i always identify them before banking though). the reasons that i leave them for so long are that i can often gain a herblore lvl if i have lots and lots, and also i very rarely have alot of the mixers. so for sorting herbs, i go and collect the mixers, then make potions. this can give my bank around 11-13 spaces when i am all finished. 2. got lots of logs sitting in your bank? i had 700 odd willows, 66 yews, a few maples, some mahogany and 5 magic logs sat in my bank yesterday, so i fletched all the willows into half strung long bows and then sold them to the shop. fletched the yews and magics into long bows, strung them and high ached them. the maples and mahoganies i just burned as there weren't many. this made me a little bit of money, and gave me some space in my bank too :) 3. getting rid of unwanted seeds. i will often go theiving from the master farmers for seeds, but there are certain things i don't bother planting at all, like hops, so if there are seeds in your bank, that you know you can't be bothered to plant, throw them away (or sell them). 4. planting seeds. ok, so you just went through your seeds, and found a load you do want to plant, so go and plant them lol, i go do my farms at least once a week, this way, even if i have lots of 1 kind of seed, i can get through them eventually. 5. flax and bowstrings. i generally have both in my bank, this is because i refuse to pay a high price for bowstrings, when i can get the flax for half the price and gain crafting exp, when my bank space is pretty low, i go and spin any flax i have into strings, so that only one space is taken up by that instead of 2 :) same could be said for wool/balls of wool. 6. this is something i did a long time ago, quest related books can be thrown away. if you have a player owned house, that has a quest hall,any books that came from quests can be got and read again by building a book case in you POH quest hall. 7. cuts and uncuts. i get gems from monsters while fighting, from random events and sometimes from mining, for the most part i will cut the straight away when i get to the bank, but sometimes i forget, and then i have both uncuts and cuts in my bank, this can take up a fair bit of space, so i cut those that need it, making a bit more space. 8. crafting your gems. i go and mine the required amount of gold needed for all my gems sometimes, then just craft them all, this frees up alot of space. enchanting them so that they stack with others in my bank also helps (like i have alot of duel rings and games necklaces). 9. crafting hides. i often keep hides, like snake hides, dragon hides and sometimes cow hides, just so that when i can make something out of them, i then can. but too many different types can take up alot of space, so i dump the ones that are no good, like the snake hides if i have less than 6 and then craft the rest and sell what i make. that's all i can think of at the moment that i do to clear out my bank, so if you have any other ideas, please feel free to let me know :) hope this has been helpful.
